Ok for those of you that are in Colorado or the mid west, 37 degrees may not be cold to you, but in Northwest Florida...BRRRRR!  I do enjoy the change in temperature though and am thankful that I'm much leaner this year and can get out and enjoy the temperature change.

We had a busy weekend.  Friday we stayed in and watched the Wizard of Oz.  Yes, I still watch that show whenever it comes on.  Saturday we went to the homecoming Blue Angels show.  It wasn't as good because of only having 5 flyers since the dismissal of one of the pilots after an inappropriate relationship .  We had vip tickets with hospitality and I ate lasagne for the first time.  Let's just say the foamies can still happen at 1 year.  My stomach did not like that at all.

Yesterday, we went and got Karl some sweaters.  He's lost about 15 pounds and is in 34" pants and Medium shirts.  Needless to say,  he needs new clothes and he'll freeze in NYC if I didn't buy him some new stuff.  TJ Maxx is so awesome.  Got him a Izod rugby shirt & sweater, a Columbia sweater and then a no-name sweater for $65!

Well...I have to say that I'll miss reading Kix's posts but am happy to take over the workout postings for her.  The gym is open...will you move to lose today?

I'm off to the gym to do a rowing scheme and upper body workout right now.  Wish me warm winds!

Good morning, Kathy.  I brought my workout bag with me today and am planning to go to the gym after work and see what my body can handle.  I probably have not been to the gym since August or September, although I walked for miles and miles and miles in the great fall weather.

My plastic surgeon said I could go back to the gym whenever I wanted and to do whatever I wanted, just to pay attention to what feels comfortable and not push too hard too fast.  So I'm going to see what this ole' body can do today after work!!!  I'm hoping to be able to do 20-30 minutes of light cardio, plus a little bit of weights for my upper body.

BTW, thanks for taking over the mantle of "gym maven" from Kix!!!

Same here. It's 48 degrees right now, but in South Texas that is COLD to us! I got to finally use the seat heaters in my car and had the heat on full blast all the way to work! Rarely does that happen with our weather.

I got in a very rigorous workout last night. It felt so good. I did a lot of cardio and strength training. Today I will probably take the day off and get up tomorrow morning early enough to work out before I go to work.

37 degrees in Florida is a lot colder than 37 degrees in Colorado! That humidity makes it down right frigid, so even though I'm a Colorado Girl through and through, I'd prefer to be here when it's that cold!

Had my spinning class today  - this is the one with the Gladiator finalist instructor. I'm sore.

I got up and made it to the gym before work.  I did a 1/2 hr on the treadmill.

That's probably the best thing that you can do prior to surgery is to get in the habit of exercising.  I am a big exercise advocate.  I may not have lost 150 pounds in the first year, but I feel good, I look good, my resting heart rate is in the 60's now and it just starts the day out right.
