One-Year Surgiversary today

Wow, what a great story.  For someone like me, coming to the end of all the pre-op stuff that has to be completed before I see the OR, it is very worthwhile to read this and say "YES!  That's what I'm hoping for.  It really is worth it!!"  Thanks for that reminder.

I imagine it'll be the same for me, too.  My pastor (who's my dad) and all the church are already praying for me about this.  I can't wait till I'm on the prayer chain that day they roll me into the OR.

Don't forget to pray for your surgeon too. What a great feeling that was for me to lift my doctor up in prayer.  It was very peaceful for me.

It will be here before you know it.  The first month or so is pretty yucky, but then it's great from there!

I don't even know which surgeon I'll have yet (they've just reorganized), so I'm just praying for the whole department!  ;o)  Covering all the bases

Congratulations.  You have definitely come a long way!!  It is so nice to read these kinds of posts showing where someone started and where they are now.

I just think of Kellie or Kix who are 2-3+ years out and I look to them for inspiration!

HAPPY SURGIVERSARY!!

Thank you Kathy for writing such an inspirational account of this past year!  It will definitely help me to stay on track, I can really relate to your previous way of life and I know it's just a matter of time before I'm enjoying the same feeling you are in your present one!

God is great!

Thanks for sharing!!
