Heading to the ER
Some of the DS'ers joke about swinging chickens - a la the B-movie view of VooDoo, I think. Personally, I pray, light candles and burn incense (I love good smells and I'm sure God/Goddess/The Universal Good does too). The idea if people swinging chickens (rubber, of course) cracks me up. Even funnier if they fling them. What was that movie ... Chicken Run?
Personally, if I had a big enough yard, I wouldn't mind a few chickens for the eggs. A friend has some and I'm envious.
I'm glad the ER had entertainment value. It sounds like quite the night.
I'm glad you checked out OK, Did you flutter while hooked up to their equipment? Or is that what your monitor is for?

Hey Kix...Hey Patty,
They checked me for infection via blood work but that came out Ok too. I had lot's of blood work. Some of which is still in the hoppper. They basically did a full nutrition test like I get at Quest for my nut to review. I didn't have any fluttering on the monitor (of course!) I was only on it for the last three hours I was there though. I sat for the 1st 8 without one and it happened a little then! Grrr. I got the "Dental room" (just a curtianed stall w/ a recliner) and there is no heart thing in there. Then I was moved to a bed area where there was one and the nurse forgot to hook me up. I called the dr over when a little fluttering happened but by the time they got over to stick 3 little things on (which took all of 7 seconds of their time) it had stopped (grrr) It was kind of ridiculous there last night. I was told I couldn't have any water for the 1st 10 hours and then they wanted to get a urine sample which I couldn't provide due to dehydration! Plus the 3 bathrooms in the ER were all PEED ON! EWE! I had to drink 2 glasses of water and wait an hour to be able to go. When I did do the deed I came back cup in hand and they had my discharge sheet ready! The urine sample was already signed off as "normal" even though I had it in my hand still. HUh?
Anyway they took another hour to dip it and let me go. No infection there either. I have the primary care doc appt next week and than the cardiologist so if anything IS wrong that the ER didn't catch hopefully they will.

Hi! I had the same problem as you! They tested everything except...... my Vitamin D. It is supposed to be between 30 and 40 for levels and mine was 8. They put me on 50,000 I.U. of Vitamin D twice a week and my levels came up very slowly. The flutters went away and I wasn't freezing cold to the bone anymore. They even put me on the Holter Monitor like you are on.
Even since my D level has been up I have not had a single flutter situation and I had had the fluttering for over a year and testing and checking with no results.
It was the exercise physiologist at the Weight Center where I was taking my pre-surgical classes who clued me into getting my vitamin D checked.
I sure hope this helps!
