Hello everyone,
    My name is Melissa and I met Janet (jandell) this weekend in LA at the conference and she said you all were the best.
   My story is like most I have been heavy all my life and tried every diet I could tolerate, would lose then gain then lose then gain ect. ect.
Now I am finally on my last journey away from my highest weight. I had my surgery about 4 weeks ago (tomorrow) and am doing well so far.  I am always worrying that this might not work yet again but try to keep a positive attitude.
    I admit I probably lurk more than I post but I hope to become a part of this board to keep myself on track and get lots of support.
Thanks again and let me know of anything special I need to know.

I am a lurker more than a poster too :) I do try and post some and I guess kinda a newbie myself. Been posting here off and on for about 6 weeks now!

I know the feeling about "always worrying this might not work yet again but try to keep a positive attitude".

So easy to do and apart of the journey we walk!

I am looking forward in watching your progress and getting to know you :)

Start: 487 lbs (8/07) Lost 81 lbs pre op on South Beach. 406 lbs at surgery (6/08). 179 post op, by 2011. I lost 308 lbs. Gained 98 while pregnant (2012-13) lost all but 25. My goal is to be 179 again!

Welcome!!!!!!!!! I feel the same way, especially when I stall, I get very depressed and think......That's all I'm going to lose. It isn't going to work for me. (I"M HAVING A STALL NOW> GRRR!!!!!!!!)
