Back to work today

I'm back at work today after being off all of October to recover from my tummy tuck.  I have a desk job, so I think I should be okay, although I may work slightly shorter days this week depending on how I feel.  I'm lucky to have a very understanding boss, so I can do what I need to do to take care of myself.

It's nice to see all my friends and co-workers, although it was hard to get up and moving this morning!  I look forward to getting back into my regular work groove -

Kellie, just take it easy and listen to your body.  I'm sure that you were a little stir crazy at home.  I really like my job so that make it easier!

Have a great day

Thanks, Kathy.  I'm definitely paying attention to what my body says it needs!  I've had a great recovery so far and I want that to continue!  A little stir crazy is an understatement; I'm a total extrovert, so being at home by myself for a month was almost like being in prison.  I also really like my job and my co-workers, so I'm really happy to be back in the office...

I hope you have a great day as well -

Good for you Kellie!  Take it easy and don't over-do. I'm sure you'll be glad to be back though.

I had 2 plastics consults at the OH event this weekend, WOW, that's all I can say! It's exciting and scary all wrapped into one.

I am glad to be back, and will make myself not over-do it!  I've had a great recovery so far and do not want to do anything to jeopardize that!!!

Exciting and scary is exactly how I felt/feel about plastics.  But having survived my tummy tuck experience, I think it's definitely worth it.  How did your consults go???

They were both great. They both think they can get them covered by insurance, but we'll see.

I had one with Dr Katzen (I loved him from the second he walked in) and 1 (along with 2 other friends) with Dr Agha. Poor Dr Agha I think we overwhelmed him, but he was great.

I was shocked to find out I could loose anywhere from 18-25+ pounds more with plastics (lower body lift and breast reduction.)

If I win the lotto soon I'll be a brand new me!

I'm glad you liked both surgeons, and it would be great if they can some or all of your plastics covered by insurance.  Some of my work was covered, some of it wasn't, but my out-of-pocket costs seem like they'll be manageable.

I lost 7+ pounds of skin just from my abdomen, so I'm not surprised that you could lose 18-25 pounds from a LBL and a breast reduction.  I'll be very interested in what my "final" weight is when I'm done with plastics and swelling has subsided.  I'm still around 180 pounds right now, but I think I'm still carrying around 10+ pounds of excess fluids!  Only time will tell -

Please keep us posted on what's going on with your plastics -
