Gym is Open (Tubby Tuesday) 10/21
I feel so fat and bloated lately. I haven't been doing intense gym activity, and I think just brisk walking isn't doing a thing for me, ugh.
I've changed my work day from 8-4:30 to 7:30 - 4. I think this will help with my workout, not only because when I go early to the gym, I'm at work by 7:30 anyway, but leaving at 4 will help me avoid traffic and perhaps even get in another quick treadmill walk or other activity in the afternoon.
My plan is to go to the gym in the AM. Now, all I need is the follow-through.
What did you do to move your body today?

That's my plan as well - morning swims. Can't make it tomorrow, though, as I have a regular PCP check-in, the first with my new doc (old one got burnt out and moved back to Montana).
In the last week I realized how much I need my Wed. telework day still, both for exercise and rest.
If I'm up to it, I'll try walking on my break. Today it still hurt to move.

I'm with you Kix, I love my cardio workout but sometimes it just doesn't seem to be enough... so this morning I did 30 mins of heavy duty weight training both upper and lower body and it felt really really GOOD.... tomorrow I probably won't be able to move

Hi!
I'm trying really hard to get back in the habit of coming to the board. My schedule is a little less crazy (although I am working more, so I know what you mean about trying to balance workouts with work - thinking about it is great, the follow-thru is the hard part) and I'm hoping I can work a bit more flex time into my days. Got to admit it's kind of weird being home more - I was gone all summer and loved it. Now that the days are shorter and colder I'm doing and traveling less and it's been a tough transition.
My workout today was running - I haven't run regularly for a few months and haven't run AT ALL for the past 6 weeks due to an injury on my leg (did it mountain biking - nice, big ole hematoma that freaked everyone out, including me!) Now that adventure races are done for the season, I'm trying to get back to it - I've missed it. And there is a winter running series starting in January that I thought would help me get motivated to keep up with my workouts, so that is getting me going as well.
I did 40 minutes of walking/jogging today and it felt really good - it's going to take me a while to get back to where I was but I'm excited for the challenge.
Have fun with your workouts everyone!

I really like my new schedule. 7:30 - 4 will suit me fine. Ideally, 7 - 3:30 would be better, but that's probably pushing it. We often have meetings that go until 4, so I'm fine the way things are.
I did not get to the gym today, #&*$%! I had an errand I had to run before work and three errands to run after work. I did make sure to do a lot of walking around campus today and have vowed to take the stairs several times during the day. I racked up nearly three miles, many of which were aerobic, and climbing five flights of stairs certainly got my heart pumping!
