BOOTS???

I really wanted to get a pair of tall boots for my trip to NYC, but my calves are still too big by about 2 inches. 

Does anyone know of any stores that carry plus sized boots?  I don't want to order on the internet or by catalog because I really need to try them on before buying them.

Have you tried The Avenue?  I have a pair of tall boots from them and there is stretch built into them (you cant see it).  Good luck!!

Yeah, unfortunately, we've got Cato, Lane Bryant, Catherines and that's it around here. 

One foot is bigger than the other so I really have to try them on so ordering is out of the question.  I may have to see how close Avenue is to Pensacola.

Do you have a Nordstrom Rack near you? They have a ton of shoe in all sizes.

I have a pair of Avenue boots that fit my calves fine at this point.  They are huge in the feet but that's par for the course. Avenue shoes start at size 8 boo!  Silhouettes online also carries some, as does Lane Bryant online. Zappos might have some and you recieve them the next day and if you don't like them shipping back is free and they refund or replace them quickly. As far as local stores I have had NO luck finding boots that fit.

This boot comes in three calf widths and has free overnight shipping. You might want to give it a try - in the past I've ordered 2 sizes of the same shoe and sent one back. I've never had a problem with zappos, excellent customer service.
