When it rains it pours!
Since I've been spending most of my time at Mom's I haven't been home with the boys - our Great Danes. Hubby informed me the oldest had a nasty open wound on his side about 2-3 inches long.
He's always been our lumpy, bumpy rashy guy and this was a side his rash was flaring up on. Well, I took him to the Vet yesterday and he gave him shots and started a round of antibotics and steroids, something we hated to do but we need to clear it up.
We told me if this doesn't work in a couple weeks then we'll need to do a biopsy. He looked at me and said I want to prepare you, this could be cancer. Just what I needed to hear, as you can imagine.
Good thoughts and healing wishes needed for Gunner please, as well as the ones you've all been sending for Mom!

I am sending good thoughts your way..I know how we all love our animals soo much.
I lost my beloved "matilda" a red doberman a few years
ago to an inoperable cancer in her throat. It was so hard....
I still can't bear to get another dog, because I am afraid of going through that kind of pain again.
So good thoughts and prayers to Gunner and your momma...
take care,
Lynn
