But i only ate some roasted corn on the cob(and with missing alot of my teeth it took awhile).lol
But they had deep fried reese cups ..wth
Ive seen deep fried twinkies and deep fried snickers and now reese cups..
I hate elephant ears but i swear the carmel apples were calling my name (im still hearing it).

The Texas State fair just started and a reporter was there talking about just that.
The 2 new ones he had seen this year were fried banana split, and chicken fried bacon!
Can you imagine!?

That just sounds gross to me!

We had our seafood festival here this weekend and the weather was beautiful!  I had a caramel apple (apples are so good right now)  The sugars in the caramel aren't enough to make me dump and there are only 3g fat in them.  It's a good for me treat

I also tried about 4 bites of a funnel cake.  I could never have that again and not miss it.  Fried pancake mix with powdered sugar!

But people were walking around with huge cardboard bowls of collossal fried shrimp, oysters, scallops, etc and it all looked so good.  I had a combo plate with grouper, crab, shrimp and mahi mahi grilled with veggies and some rice.  It was really good.

The fried stuff doesn't really do much for me any more.

As a former cook in the hills of Arkansas I've seen a lot of fried things.... LOL

The chicken fried bacon is nothing new.... we used to cook what we called FAT BACK.... which is essentially 1 inch thick slices of SLAB BACON dredged in flour and milk like fried chicken would be and then deep fried until crispy...... it was one of our mainstays on the lunch buffet and we never had any leftovers either.... just thinking about cooking it makes me shudder now.... LOL

At the LA County Fair this year they had deep fried coke.

I will admit I've had fried pickles and loved them ... years ago that is!
