Swollen Feet
I am not sure if this has been discussed here as to why this could be..maybe just paranoid me, LOL!!! I am 3 days post OP and figuring all this out with eating/drinking all at the right times, LOL..Something I have come across is both my feet are very swollen! They are all tingley and tight..why is this? Anyone else have this problem? I do get up and move around..still quite sore but I do what I can. Should I be a worry wart about this? I am in the higher BMI rate...always struggle with water retention but haven't had swollen feet like this is a very long time!!!
Any thoughts anyone,
Thanks :)

Good morning Carrie,
First welcome home and welcome to the losers bench!
I had my surgery on June 30th. When I came home from the hospital and was doing everything I should, I gained 20 lbs. and my feet were so swollen. I called my surgeon because I became very concerned. It turned out to be water retention, and it took about a week before it went away.
When it went away, I lost 30 lbs. in 4 days.
If you are concerned, you should call your surgeon. That is what they are there for, but I wouldn't worry too much.
Good luck,
Denise

I did not have an issue with fluid retention, which surprised me since I went of blood pressure pills, including a diuretic, right before surgery. I did walk like a maniac though.
I would put those feet up and call your surgeon. If they are equally swollen on both sides its probably just fluid, but if they are uncomfortable/painful/unequally swollen I'd definitely make that call. You can't be too careful at this point and that's what they are being paid for.
