Thank you all so much!
Mom is doing a little better each day. I went to the hospital this morning before work and she got up and sat with little help and then even walked into the bathroom. Of course this exhausted her, but hey she's doing it!
Wouldn't ya know the DR showed up and 25 minutes after I left? Her surgeon is off today but it was his assistant and she was kind enough to call me and let me know the latest on everything.
Still no pathology results, it might not be until tomorrow or Wed. So we've decided not to say anything to Mom to worry her. When she asked me about prognosis I told her we needed the test results first.
A few years ago she went through several bouts of pneumonia, so the lung specialist decided to do a biopsy to see what might be causing it. Afterward he came into her room and told all of us he suspected it might be lung cancer. Turned out it wasn't and he jumped the gun. Maybe the same thing will happen here and she'll be one of those people with strange lymph modes?
I'm leaving it in God's hands.
