Gall bladder issues...xpost

I'm pretty sure its my gallbladder acting up.  My question is, has anyone had theirs out AFTER WLS?  how was recovery, honestly, i'm petrified of going back into the hospital, i know the gall bladder removal is much easier than the RNY, but still am just plain scared.  I have my u/s tomorrow afternoon.  could not get in today, TIA, lys

hi there, Yes I had my gallbladder out about 2 years after my surgery..Don't be afraid ..actually I found going into the hospital so much easier the second time around. I must tell you I felt quite sore, but it felt better within a week.  My doctor told me to take only 1 week off, but I stretched it out to two. Just because I had vacation time coming at work.

You will be fine and you will feel so much better.

4 months after WLS I ws back in having gallbladder removed. Got to say it was a piece of cake compared to WLS. I went in at 6AM and was home (after an hour drive) by 2PM.

The next day I baked 8 pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving! I had 2 weeks off work and played for most of it going with my Mom and Niece to the movies, shopping and so forth.

I was so glad it was finally taken out!

i had mine removed just over a year after WLS. i thought it was a breeze. i had my rny as an open procedure, so the laprascopic gallbladder removal amazed me with how easy it was. i had it on a friday, and was at work on monday. nothing to it for me!
