Hi Jana,
Hope you had a great weekend, I know I did! I went to church for the first time since the surgery. I  had been getting around on a scooter the last time I was there and yesterday I walked in with my cane and it was pretty easy to get around. I had been staying home because I was scared others would think that I had not lost enough. I realized yesterday that was dumb. It was great to be there and I can't wait to go back.
Anyway here are my stats.
starting weight: 464.4
surgery: 409
last week 357.2
this week 353.0
-4.2 yea!!!

Good morning all,

Well I would like to say I stalled this week, but it was nothing like a stall. In fact, I would say it was more like a roller coaster, up 3, down 2, up 2 down 4 with a net result of exactly the same as I was last week.  I HAVE GOT TO STAY OFF THE SCALE! It has been my obsession, although I suppose I would feel worse if I had no****ched the fluctuation all week and just got on the scale for the first time this morning and had no loss.

Besides getting on the scale is similar to stepping right? Up 1, 2, down 1 ,2 up 1,2, down 1,2. Who needs a gym. LOL

Beginning weight:  330
Surgery weight:  316
Last week:  274
This week:  274

Good luck all for a great week!

DENISE! Step away from the scale.  It's really not good for your emotions. I've learned that lesson recently.  That daily, hourly fluctuation is just a normal thing.  Hope next week is better for you.

I agree! Denise, step away from the scale!  When I brand new out I didn't weigh except at my surgeon's visits.  At about 3 months, I only weighed once a month; now I weigh weekly but I'm at the end of my honeymoon stage and I know I have stay on top of things.

I was just at a 12 step meeting where a lady admitted that she can only weigh herself once a month because she'll get up in the middle of the night weigh herself!  I value my sleep too much to do that.........

I missed last weeks weigh-in due to Mr. Hurricane Gustav, so I am reporting for two weeks.  Actually though - most of the weight came off between from last Monday thru last Friday.  Guess there is something good to come out of natural disasters.

Consultation Weight - 443.5
Surgery Weight - 410
Two weeks ago - 334.5
Today's Weight - 327

YEA for 7.5 pounds gone forever. I fully believe I am going to stall out now given that my body lost a good bit under duress, but I will take those 7.5 pounds happily.

Total loss - 116.5
