Monday Weigh-In; Rise & Shine!!!
I woke up this morning at 4:35 A.M. - don't ask me why, I don't know why! So I did some reading and my alarm went off at the usual 5:30 A.M. and it being Monday, Monday, Monday..I headed to the scale. Holy smokes....great balls of fire...and good golly Miss Molly!!
Surgery weight: 440
Last week: 290
This week: 284.25
Weight loss for week: 5.75 lbs.
Weight loss total: 155.75
Let's hear how you all are doing. Your turn!
Jana
Good Morning! Its not that early here in Chi-town with it being after 8am. It was a good week weight loss wise and I wish every week could be that way. Although it might have been alittle better but I made a few bad decisions yesterday

Starting weight 461
Surgery weight 449
Last week 349.4
This week 344.4
total for the week 5.0 !!!!
Here's my numbers:
Highest weight: 409
Beginning weight: 396
Surgery weight: 386
Last week: 171.8
This week: 175.2
I'm actually glad to be up a few pounds; I've been pretty stressed lately and wasn't eating very much or very well. I've been doing better though, so am actually happy with this week's 175... Three weeks and 2 days until my abdominoplasty - then I expect to gain 10+ pounds of fluids and puff up like the Michelin tire man for a few weeks!!!
My starting BMI was 62.0, and my current BMI is now 27.4. If I lose 10 pounds - or down to 165 - after my abdominoplasty (and after all that surgery related fluid retention goes away), I'll have a BMI of 25.8!!! For those newbies out there, I'm proof that even those of us who start our super-morbidly obese can make it to "normal" if we're willing to push ourselves

I'm gonna have to post this tomorrow. I totally forgot this morning and I am also VERY constipated and thus weigh more. This is the beginning of day 5 with basically nothing. I'm starting to worry about an impaction or something.
Don't know if this is an option for you, but my mom had constipation problems in the hospital and they have her prune juice and it worked....almost TOO good! She said they warmed it up and she drank about 4 oz (she hasn't had WLS of any type) and she thinks a tablespoon or two would have been enough.
I havent' tried it yet, but I plan to when the need arises.

Well I finally did go once a little while ago - 5 or 6 more of those and I might be ok, if I an ever walk again.
I do eat prunes regularly and count my fiber/add extra fiber. Prune juice, it would just depend on the amount of sugar. I dump on most any juices and am more sensitive to fruit sugars than corn syrup, white sugar or any of that bad stuff. That is not the case for most people though.
Thanks for the recommendation. If you ever have problems, stool softeners like ducosate (colace, dulcolax) help. I had stopped them a few months ago but I guess its time to start back up. Miralax also helps some people.
I know what happened in my case, I've been really under-whelming with my fluid consumption recently. Drink more water!
