Gustav Update

I begin by thanking all of you who sent prayers our way - thank you! 

We faired well for the storm.  It did hit Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes the hardest but thankfully did not bring lots of rain which kept flooding to a minimum.  We did have LOTS and LOTS of wind damage and power is not expected to  be restored for a couple of weeks.  Thankfully, my brother in a neighboring parish has electricity and that is where we are staying.  I am getting enough of camping life, but at least I can sleep in the AC! 

The positive of the storm is that I am losing at the avg of a lb a day...yippeee!!!

I figured you were out of electricity.  But glad to hear that your damages weren't too bad and you and your family are great.  Now we have to wait for Ike and see what he's going to do!

Glad you're OK, and woo! on the weight loss.  I'd love to lose 1 lb/day right now!
