Well I've got another long day ahead of me. I teach a class at 7am, have to attend a talk at 9am, a lunch with the speaker at noon, a meeting with a new student in the lab at 2, a meeting with my fellow phD students at 3 before we all meet with the dean at 3:30. After 2 weeks of this kind of scheduling, I'm trying to determine when exactly I am supposed to get any research done. An hour here and there just doesn't cut it - you need 4 hour blocks at least, where you can concentrate without interuptions.

I did at least go buy some concealer for my eye circles so I won't have to hear how tired I look today. Its a tad light though IMO, so I'm not sure if it makes me look good or just weird. I also treated myself to a bottle of perfume (Sheer Veil). Its very nice, but seems to have less lasting power than I would have hoped. I deserved it though :)

Here's my semblance of a food plan

B - something from on campus, probably the inside of a breakfast bagel sandwich

L - subway - the turkey and cheese from inside a box lunch, maybe a bite or two of bread

S - protein shake

D - no idea, I'd like something like fajitas but we shall see

That sounds like a tough schedule.  Are you working on your PhD?  If so, what are you working on.  I'm just curious.  My husband's nephew is working on his PhD at Rice University in rocket science or something close to that like nuclear physics.  Way above my head!

Today is our 21st anniversary.  Not sure what's on the schedule for tonight.

B - greek yogurt - first timer...wasn't bad.  It had honey on the top and bottom which made it better

L - ?  I may go get a salad w/chicken

D - most likely seafood.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I am working on my PhD, this should be my last year. Its in bioinformatics (computational biology). I work on the computer exclusively, which is why I worked from home over the summer. During the semesters I mostly have to be up at the lab though, to help the students and attend idiotic mandatory meetings, and now to teach.

I tried the greek yogurt this week also - I bought the plain it was like eating sour cream (the consistency). How much sugar in the one you had?

I will buy it again, its a little pricey to have everyday but it makes a good change once in awhile.

Enjoy your weekend....
