I HAVE AN UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I posted earlier this week about having to loose 20lbs before my surgeon would even sign off on the ppwk to be submitted to the insurance company.
I am soooooo happy, I still have to loose the 20lbs. However, he has agreed to submit my ppwk to my insurace for approval.
I know I am probably skipping around. I am going to get laid off  from my job soon, I don't know when, but it's soon. That's why I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off,  to get the surgery covered by insurance company.
This has been such a big relief!  At least I know after my ppwk is submitted, UHC usually has a 14 day turn around  with their decision.
I also weighed in today and I have lost 5lbs... Don't know where it went to but I promise you I'm not looking for it!
However, my surgeon made it very clear to me, If I do not loose the 20lbs before the surgery it will be null and void.  I understand and will adhere to it.  I do want to have a non complication surgery.
So, I am truly on my grind.

I will keep you updated.  And thanks for all the great advice and support you guys have provided.

Keisha

Congratulations!  As another poster suggested in your last update - you may want to find out from your surgeon how "backed up" his schedule is.  If he's able to get you into surgery within 1-2 weeks from your approval, it may be a *very* good idea to ask now about starting a liquid diet.  That, for sure, will take off the 20 lbs. You don't want to start it too soon though because it can be tough to stick to - but maybe a modified liquid diet would work effectively as well.
