Calorie Countdown - Monday, the end of my freedom

Well, this is the last day before I have to officially be at school all the damn time again *sigh*

I am super unstoked about fall classes starting. I really want to be done. We were watching True Stories last night (weird movie btw but cool if you like Talking Heads) and in the middle of the movie a thought popped into my head. It went something like this -









  Why can't I just quit???


Ugh.

Today will be nice food-wise. I want to cook up a few things that I will be able to take to work over the next few weeks. I'll start some beans soaking to put in the crock pot tomorrow. I'll make some cheese muffins to have with the beans. And I'll boil a chicken to make broth, shred it, and add it to the beans, along with some veggies and lime juice. Nice protein-filled bean soup. I want some foods pre-frozen into my portions that I know settle well because there is NOTHING I hate more than eating something unknown that ends up upsetting me while I am at work. Its embarrassing.

As far as food today - here's the plan

B - Cracker barrel - I'll have a kids portion of grilled chicken strips and a veggie, probably corn or greens.

Grocery Store

S - protien shake with mootopia (16oz mootopia, 1 scoop of protein =40g protein) - I make it so thin, I wouldn't call it a shake really.

L - cottage cheese and tomatoes with salt and fresh pepper

S - another protein shake

D - home-made bkft burritos (I'll just eat the filling) - eggs, potato, sausage, and cheese, lots of salsa  EDIT - the best salad EVAH!!!

Everyone must be busy today.  I started back to school today and made the transition from Jr college to the University.  I'm a retread so this is my 2nd attempt.  I was excited because I'm actually studying in my degree field now and it's stuff that I've been practicing for over 10 years.  I don't need my degree for my job as I've been the Marketing Director for 4 years now, but it's the sense of satisfaction that I'll be the first in my family to have a college degree.

B - SBD protein bar
S - 2 pieces ham and 1 piece provolone cheese roll up
L - quiche
S - 2 pieces ham and 1 piece provolone cheese roll up
S - matrix cookies and creme and chike chocolate protein powders with skim milk.
Class was supposed to go to 8PM tonight so I wanted to make sure I hit my protein goal for the day and these were samples that I uesd
D - white bean chicken chili.  Sounds like our recipe is similar.  Mine had about 8 oz of chorizo in it too but almost the same.  Yummy!
S - SF FF banana pudding

I was downtown all day enjoying the DNC craziness, so all my meals were eaten out.  Even so, I did OK.

B: four pieces beef bacon, two slices whole grain toast, and decaf.
S: decaf at Starbux because the restaurant decaf was anemic
L: ham and swiss sandwich on dense sourdough bread and unsweetened ice tea
S2: big azz unsweetened iced tea
D: 5 pieces deep fried shrimp and 2 beef skewers
S3: Think Thin protein bar

According to my pedometer, I burned 559 calories and walked just shy of 5 miles.  A new personal best (and my feet feel it, too, but I think most of it is from standing for 1.5 hours at MSNBC.

I hate school!!!!

Teacher Work Day---i.e. let's sit in stupid meetings

B:  Not near enough coffee
      CarbMaster Yogurt (they had a back to school carb fest going on in the cafeteria for breakfast)
S:  skipped it
L:  Turkey, cheese, low-carb bread/apple slices
      (Chic-fil-a fried sandwiches, chips and salad for the staff.  Wonder why our insurance rates are high?)
S:  Pure Protein Bar
D:  Shrimp, corn, green beans
S:  100 cal CheeseNips/Mozzarella

Little beasts come tomorrow....excuse my whining.
