WOOOO!  And your picture is super-cute btw. Yes nervous is completely normal. People who aren't nervous at any point before surgery are the crazy one IMO.  You'll have a crazy two weeks mentally, where emotion**** you out of nowhere and its hard to tell which way is up or down, but then it'll be time.

I am super happy for you!

Yippee!  I remember getting that date confirmed and then praying and praying and praying that I had made the right decision.  I had worked on myself a good bit before the date was confirmed, but I took my last two weeks to tidy up the emotional edges I was aware of.  By doing that hard work, it made the weeks pass by fairly quickly and when I was wheeled into the operating room I was calm as a cucumber.  I will pray you find the same peace!

Congratulations and Good luck!  ~Clinell

Thank you Clinell!!  I have this fear of dying on the table and leaving my son motherless. But my psychologist had the same surgeron as well as others I know and reassure me that I am in good hands.

Congrats!! Your date is so close, mine feels like a year away.  I think its normal to be excited, I am just afraid I will do too many last dinners.  With a month to go, I could  pack on quite a bit more weight before surgery.
I started posting my meals again on sparks this morning to help keep me in check.
Congrats again and stay in touch.

YAY! I'm so happy for you. What you are feeling is completely normal..so I hear..lol I'm just starting my whole journey, but I know you'll be on an emotional roller coaster ride till your surgery. I'm already going through the same feelings about leaving my kids without a mom, and I asked them what they were feeling, and they said I needed to do this for myself, and to get healthy, or I won't be here for them any way..Good Luck Hon.

Congrats on getting the date!  It is normal to be nervous and excited.  I wish you the best with your liquid diet...just know that it gets better after a few days.  Rest assured you probably won't want to consume the liquids that you have on your liquid diet post-op.  The smell of cream of mushroom soup and chocolate protein shakes still makes me gag.  Good thing they are disallowed on my food plan.
