Thoughts and prayers needed

After more than a week of not feeling well I finally got Mom to go to the ER this morning. They found her blood counts to be down to 7, normal is 14. She has internal bleeding in the stomach and they have admitted her to start blood transfusions.   As of right now they think this might be once again caused from drug interactions (this happened last year too), but they will be doing further testing this week.   Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated!

 Sending positive thoughts and prayers to your mom and her family....may the doctors figure this out and get her on the road to a speedy recovery!

Ok, I really want to hug my mom now - too many unfortunate mom-associated events on this board for one day! I wish your mom the best and I'm glad you got her to the doctor!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  I pray your mom recovers quickly.

I'm going through the same with my Mom. Five hospital stays in the past year. Internal bleeding and low blood count and I think it's her meds.
Make sure the medical folks know every single pill she's sticking in her mouth.
My Mom had nurses telling her she needed to take calcium pills at the same time her doctor recommended iron. Taking the two at the same time really messed up her stomach.
Her doc keeps messing around with her medications -- hopefully she'll figure it out.
Hang in there. I hope she starts feeling better soon.
