6 month appt
Hi everyone,
I feel like I've hardly been on the site the last week or so. All of a sudden, everything got busy. Looks like another week like that coming up.
One of my many errands last week was my 6 month followup. I don't have the results of my labs yet, but I had a good appt. I did have my poorest weight loss (9 lbs) the last month, but we all know what I need to do to fix that (exercise). I did a lot more walking this weekend, even though I didn't officially step on the treadmill. It'll come. My official weigh in was 272.
Some of the blessings from the surgery: no more seat belt extenders, no more heartburn (& Nexium), no more Metformin, being able to reach everything (if you know what I mean), more clothes choices, more confidence, my surgeon didn't make me do protein shakes (still recovering from the taste of one I tried a week ago). I know there are a lot more, but I don't want the post to be toooo long.
Some things I need to work on: exercise, my emotional rollercoaster / patience, not picking up the snack habit (I've picked here and there)
I tried to put a picture from the night before surgery next to one taken this weekend. I couldn't get it to paste??? If someone has any insight, I'd appreciate it :) I do have some updated pix on my profile.
I want to thank all of you that have been an inspiration to me. I have learned so much from the people on this forum. I can honestly say that I would not have been as successful without this forum and the people on it.
Hope you have a great week!
-Dawn
