I hope everyone has a great weekend. I have a lot of work to do - getting ready to teach, cleaning up the sty, and organizing my home office. We are also going to Austin on Sat for the day. We plan to have lunch with our buddies and then wander around IKEA for a bit. I don't have anything on my list to buy, but I like wandering around in there.

As far as food for Sat, who knows!

B - definitely a protein shake (and I ordered a bunch more samples from Vitalady that should get here soon)

L - something in Austin

S - no idea

D - ummmm...

I shall post these things tomorrow I suppose.

Have a super-de-duper weekend and kick the carb monster to the curb! We all seem to report weekend munching every Monday. Let's hope for a different kind of Mon this coming week!

everyone was at the grocery store yesterday freaking out about TS Fay, and there I was buying tomatoes, avacado, onion, and some chips for guacamole.  Everyone else was buying water, canned goods, etc.  It's just a bunch of rain...COME ON!

So yesterday, I think I ate 1500 calories. Was a bad eating day for me.  Today was another day!
I had way too much grazing!

B - Premier protein bar 3/4 of it
L - Mc Donalds grilled chicken sandwich w/o bun
S - other 1/4 protein bar
S - turkey breast, pastrami 1 slice each
D - sirloin steak and salad

Today was a much better eating day though.  Back on track

Kathy, I'm pretty sure I'm going to H e l l on the express bus, but when I saw the NBC weather dude reporting from Leon County, I was secretly glad that Tallahassee was getting hammered by Fay.  How cruel is that?

When I lived in Tallahassee, it rained buckets every August.  I grew tired of wading to my car every night after work because the parking lot at the Leon County Health Department (right next door to the Leon County jail, what fun) was constructed without any provision for runoff.

Glad to hear you're taking the rain in stride!  Stay dry, and eat some guacamole for me.

I didn't like Tally either.

We got more rain today than we did when we were expecting Fay.  Now we are waiting to see what Gustav is going to do!

Went thrift shopping earlier today-- had lunch at Chik Fil A (I highly recommend the charbroiled chicken and fruit salad-- you can add extra chicken at only 100 cal a shot too!), read at the pool, walked on the beach, and am gonna have some sweet snacks this evening out on the balcony. I love vacation-- and i'm not so bad off nutritionally today, either!

L: Chik Fil A Charbroiled chicken and Fruit Salad plus second chicken fillet, 0 cal dressing (I brought my own)

D: 6 oz chicken piccata, 2 bites bread, huge piece of fried mozzarella with sauce(I needed the fat!)

S: Blue Bunny Chocolate NSA Raspberry bar

S2: 1/2 cup NSA Double Churned Breyers Butter Almond Ice Cream

999 calories    40 fat    73 carbs   89 protein

(Not bad for vacation eatin'!)

Here's what I had - no protein shake afterall, got up too late.

Ikea was totally exhausting by the way.

B - the insides of a denny's turkey sandwich (turkey, bacon and cheese, whatever that one is called) about 6 fries

L - nothing

S - my blood sugar TANKED bigtime, I could completely feel it. I was barely making sense. Its really scary - I wish I'd had my meter.  I had some peanut butter crackers from a gas station on the way home and a bottled frappucino. Not good choices.

D - 1/2 chipotle burrito bol (chicken, pinto beans, rice, and 3 kinds of salsa)

S - other half of burrito bol

S - a couple of bites of red velvet cake

Not a good eating day, I'm glad we didn't move in with them! They have a ton of junk food around for me to get in to.

We didn't buy much at IKEA - a mouse shaped tent for the kitties, some tupperware, a big imitation BOOS block cutting board, and a nice pan. There was this wall mirror I really wanted, it was huge, but they were out. It was weird to look into a full-length mirror in a public place with people around me and realize I wasn't any bigger than any of the other reflections. I actually thought I looked pretty good - which made me want the mirror all the more - a magical mirror that makes me look good!!! Woot!

Sunday -

B - 2 eggs, 1 thin slice of ham, 1 slice of cheese

L - protein shake

D - side salad w/ vinagrette, toppings off of one slice of supreme-ish pizza

S - protein ice cream (vanilla made with soy milk and vanilla protein)

I had an ok eating day. I'm really hungry again now, not sure what I will do about it. Maybe another protein shake, maybe nothing, maybe some chicken or something.

On Saturday, we ate at Smash Burger, I had an angus mushroom and swiss burger along with veggie fries.  Absolutely delicious!  This was around 11 AM.  At 8 PM, I ate cashews.  I did not do much walking, either, so I'm sure my calorie count was around 8 billion.

Sunday was a better day, foodwise.  I was still full from Saturday's food extravaganza, so I had 2 EAS protein shakes for breakfast, 1 Think Thin bar for lunch, 1 can of Instone pudding for a snack, a roast beef sandwich (made at home from an actual roast, none of that pressed faux roast) for dinner, and 1 Think Thin bar just before bed.  I also did a boatload of walking today, so my total calories for today were around 1100.  Woo!
