I'm afraid of jinxing myself..
Here's the deal, right now I work at a non- profit organization, something like a Goodwill. Well, September first new owners are taking over and they have decided not to sell clothes. Why? I'm not sure cause the clothes are a big seller, but anyway..my boss told all of us workers that on the last day, we are all welcome to take any of the clothes we want. I have had my eye on a few things that are smaller in size than what I wear. I thought about wearing them "after" I have surgery. But, I haven't been approved yet and I'm afraid that if I start planning ahead and I get clothes in smaller sizes, then I may jinx my chances of getting approved. I know this may sound silly, but I can't help feeling the way I'm feeling. There is this cute skirt that I have had my eye on for 3 months....very sexy...lol What do you all think? I'm afraid I'm getting my hopes up too much...
Thanks,
Lisa
Thanks,
Lisa
free? you can take what you want for free?
well, i'm not a believer in jinxes or superstitions, so if the clothes are free -- i say go for it! once you start losing, you're gonna be changing sizes often, and it can get expensive.
don't think of it as jinxing -- think of it as planning ahead with confidence!
all the best.

Yes, the clothes are free! They were all donated, and what doesn't sell or is taken by us workers, all the clothes will be donated to churches and free clothing centers!
I'm thinking about taking a couple outfits and some night gowns! The skirt is so cute..I think I'll take it for sure!! then after they don't fit me anymore, I can donate them myself to the free clothing center..Thanks ladies..*hugs*

I did the same thing years ago. I wanted another baby so bad, that I started buying clothes, blankets, rattles, and other cute little things. I tried for 2 years to get pregnant and I couldn't. I had given up on having another baby, so I packed up everything I bought, and put it away in my closet. I figured someday I'll have grandchildren, and I could give them the stuff. Then..one day not even 2 months from the day I packed up everything..I WAS PREGNANT!!! Now he 15 years old and a freshman in high school this year..lol I thought I had jinxed myself then too..lol Good luck to you hon..You'll be a mommy before you know it! And with having WLS..you'll be fit and healthy and able to bring a healthy baby into this world. *hugs*
