As Kathy pointed out earlier, I too thought I was never going to get out of that "big" clothes.  Now I look ridiculous in them.  Do the right thing and the weight does come off, I can attest to that!

I don't shop at Wal-Mart, not so much because I know what's going on with their policies, but because my husband feels quite strongly about it. He has a list of reasons but the top three were the inability for their workers to unionize, the fact that they have an unspoken policy to pressure their employees to vote Republican by saying things like how they'll have to fire a lot of people if a Democrat gets elected, and the whole putting small independent family-owned places out of business. I don't disagree with his choice although I don't feel as strongly about it as him since I manage our money and Wal-marts prices are awfully tempting.

That being said, I love cheap clothes at Target!

You'd think being a social worker and having read all of the books on the political oppression of WalMart employees, I would ban the store myself.  (Several of my classmates in graduate school referred to the store as DevilMart) However, I am a convenience girl and WalMart is convenient for me and not once yet have I seen an employee tied to a cash register being made to stay at work.  So - until then, WalMart it is.  I guess I also don't do change well either because when everyone was gaga over Target, I felt it was much ado about nothing.  I can't ever find what I am looking for in that store!

Dunny, my sister and I have the same fight.  I don't necessariy like shopping at Wally's, but my disability stipend isn't that big and Wally's offers prices I can afford.

I do shop at Target when they have sales (and my sister gets her panties in a knot about that because Target doesn't let the Salvation Army rings bells there at Christmas.  Oy.

I bought all my summer t-shirts in the men's section at Wally's for about $3.50 each (size xl) and since I like to wear turtlenecks and waffle shirts, bought those, too for a song.  I think I bought about two dozen items at Wally's for the price of one garment from Making It Bag.  I used to buy my undies from Making It Big at $20/pair, now I can get two packs of four at Wally's for less than that.

Woo!
