Yea! Clothes from Wal-Mart

15 years ago I might have been mortified my clothes came from Wal-Mart.  Yep, I was a vain teenager.  I am still a bit vain in the sense that I care if my outfits are cute, etc.  Just has been a bit of a challenge for many years to find cute clothes.  Well, what I bought tonight from WALMART! is by no means cute - but it is from Wal-Mart all the same.  I fit in clothes at Wal-Mart.  No shipping and handling cost.  No having to wait 6 to 10 days to wear it.  No inflated price for a simple t-shirt.  Did I mention I fit in clothes from Wal-Mart?  I couldn't be prouder of my plain sky blue v-neck t-shirt.  It was a necessary purchase.  All my lay around the house clothes is soooo extremely big on me and I feel sure it grows as the day goes on.  I am in dire need of leisure clothes but have been holding off on ordering any because I know in a matter of moths I won't fit in it anymore.  I just couldn't stomach paying those inflated prices for something that didn't really matter and would not really last.  Well, no more my friend, because did I mention I can get t-shirts from Wal-Mart now?  I suspect by the end of next week, I will have every color they have - good thing are only $6 a piece.

ahem...and I seem to remember you questioning a few months ago when or if your clothing sizes would ever change!  Walmart was my store...they had even gone up to 4X and I was never happier.

I can pretty much buy a shirt in any store now because of the 14/16 size I'm in.  Heck, on sunday, I bought a boys size 18/20 Tampa Buccaneers long sleeve t-shirt.  I though it was a woman's 18/20 until my husband pointed out that it was a boys size shirt.  But it fit and was only $7.99!

Just wait until you can buy a size 14 and shop anywhere you want.  It's so cool!  But I've got on a v-neck t-shirt tonight from Target.  Gotta love your cotton t-shirts!

Guilty!  and now I get glances every morning from my coworkers in either approval of my outfit because it fits or disapproval because the clothes is floating on me.  I was/am having a hard time giving up my "big" clothes and for a while I thought it might be due to a fear I would need them in the future, but then I realized I didn't want to spend the money to replace a wardrobe.  I have slowly acquired those clothes and to now have to buy bunches all at once is just too much for this penny pincher!  God Bless WalMart!

That's awesome!  I can't relate to being able to shop in a store (yet), but it is something that I am very much looking forward to - so enjoy your WOW moment.

I can, however, relate to the clothes TOO BIG comment.  I was travelling this weekend so wore a pair of pants for the car ride home that I had previously worn a few days earlier.  I put them on in the morning and walked down the stairs - there was a mirror at the bottom of the stairs and I saw how big those pants were.  I said to my DH and mother, "How come nobody told me my pants were this big?"  They laughed and said they had, but I just don't listen.  Honestly, I am surprised that they don't just fall off - if I don't stop wearing them, they will fall off very soon.  DH told me privately that the pants are always big but that it helps that I've been purposefully shrinking my clothes in the dryer each time I wash them - it's a temporary fix that quickly wears off as I re-stretch the spandex in the clothes.  So, I guess I can't wear clothes more than once or I lose the "benefit" of my shrinking tip - but, at the same time, I understand what you mean about your clothes growing because mine do - literally.

My bottom half of my body is still so large that I do not yet fit in pants that are purchased at a store.  I am extremely disproportioned. However, having lost a little over 100 lbs, my old pants (which I still wear) are pretty big.  What I do to combat that is to pull up the waist right under my bra.  It seems to work because my big belly keeps them up.  No one has complained that my pants are too big, but I hear it about my shirts ALL the time!

Oh my gosh!  I didn't know that was you!  I'm sitting here reading your post and not recoginzing the picture.  Then when I was done reading I saw your name/location.  Looking good !!

I can relate to the disproportioned body.   And now that the boobs are hanging almost to the belly button, my stomach looks even bigger if I don't hike up the girls to my throat.

Keep up the good work!

I'm so jealous, but I know once I have surgery, I'll start to have my "wow" moments too. I love Wal-Mart. I'm excited just thinking about going in there and buying anything I want..lol, Congrats!!!
