Look what I got!
I didn't get anything for my first 100 pounds. I didn't treat myself to anything and Karl didn't buy me anything. It was just another day. But after thinking about it yesterday and having already reached 2 of my 4 goals that I set for myself at the beginning of surgery, I wanted something special to commemorate it.
It's definitely not as nice as what Jeannie got for her 100 pounds, but I'm saving up for 150 pounds!
These are cultured freshwater pearls. They are called baroque and are 10mm which are huge! The color is called pea**** but they are close to a dark, charcoal grey and are 50 inches long. I can't wait until they get here.

Oooh, very pretty. Ironically I was just discussing with my husband what kind of present I wanted to commemorate 200lbs lost, if I ever get there. I was thinking pearls myself, or a spa day.
when you were talking about that the other day, that kind of inspired me to get this for myself. They were too pretty to pass up and I'm not a dainty jewelry kind of person and when I saw they were 10 mm I had to have them.
You are definitely going to get to that 200 pound goal! Don't let your doc get you down either. You've come so far already and it's just a matter of time.

Beautiful pearls! That has been my 200 lb plan as well for quite some time - pearl is the birthstone for June, the anniversary of my surgery. I hope that I get there (I better get there or I will scream!).
I hope that you enjoy them and that when you wear them you are reminded of all of the hard work and effort that you have put in to this process. 50" is long, do you double them up or will you wear them as one long strand?
