Bummed Out....
It's been a little over a week from knee surgery. I'm healing well and hope to get the staples out next Monday. I hobbled myself all the way down stairs (split entry home) and weighed myself.
I AM UP 10 POUNDS......STILL!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously it is water weight - I am having a hard time getting water in; my urine STINKS to high heaven (tmi, sorry) but the home nurse has told me over and over that the pain meds (oxycontin and oxycodone) are very difficult to flush from the system and makes your body hold on to everything.
In addition, I've got some family stuff going on with my siblings and mom. I need to detatch from everything and its proving very very difficult. I can't control people, places and things...basically if it's a noun, I have no control. LOL It's not like I didn't foresee this train wreck happening. ::sigh::
So let's drink our water, take our vitamins and I'll throw down a few pain meds for me - sorry, I can't share. Chug, chug!

Those painkillers also slow your bowels, so some of that weight may be because you are backed up. I'm glad you are healing well, and I understand the family stuff. I am ready to run over my husband lately.
