My first round of plastic surgery -- abdominoplasty w/ muscle plication (tightening) and umbilical relocation (moving my belly button!!!) -- will be October 1st.  Insurance is covering the skin removal, and I'm paying for the muscle tightening and umbilical relocation, which will cost $4,500 upfront.  I'll also have to pay the co-pays for my insurance, but won't have to pay those costs until my insurance processes the claim.

I'm excited and nervous, and hoping the next six weeks fly by!!!  Watch out flat belly, here I come!!!

Thanks for your good wishes!  I've never had a flat belly, so am very curious about what I'll look like!  I'm not planning on getting a belly ring, but if I'm happy with how my abdomen and skin look after I've fully recovered, I think I'm going to get an Om symbol tattooed on my left hip!!!

Thanks, Deb.  I really do hope the time goes fast - right now it seems to be crawling along, but hopefully that'll change once it sinks in that this is really happening...

Emotionally, I am doing great.  Still very excited that I had this done and even more excited to see where my journey takes me.  Physically - well, my body continues to revolt.  I have what we are hoping is cellulitis wrapping around a leg.  I have a history of DVTs so we are working to rule that out as the cause.  Additionally, my left shoulder blade muscles seem to not be so happy with having to give up their friend fat and now every time I move the blade the muscle burns.  I am just sooo ready to wake up pain free.  Even at my heaviest, I didn't have all these aches and pains!
