Its only about 9pm Sun night, but I am going to bed soon. We stayed up VERY late with our party Sat night, until about 5am, so I'm bushed. I've got a million things to do tomorrow so I thought I'd open this up tonight.

Here's my plan

B - cottage cheese and NSA peaches

L - leftover chicken and broccoli with alfredo sauce on it

S - lemon yogurt

D - stuffed bell pepper (vegetarian) and a small boiled red potato or two.

S - grapes or an apple

Hope everyone starts of the week in a healthy way, drink lots of water, exercise, and make smart food choices!

Sounds like you had a nice weekend, even if you're tired.  I've become addicted to the Olympics so I'm not getting much else done.  We did see some friends on Saturday for a game day...usually a real pig-out fest, but I kept my munching to a much decreased level.  At times like that, the sugar *really* calls me (they had brownies...my favorite) - but I'm resolute in no sugar-y type dessert things (cakes, brownies, cookies, bars, etc.****il my birthday which will be at about the 5.5 mo. mark.

I need to get to the grocery store today.  I've been living on string cheese, cottage cheese, and random little protein sources for a couple of days now and DH is suffering for it (for some reason he seems less satisfied with a cheese stick as a meal, I just don't understand.  )  Anyway, since I'm going there, I'm not positive what my plans will be from dinner onward, but I can give a good start here...

B- probably a SBD nut medley bar (think that I'm going to buy their protein bars tonight, any flavor recommendations?)

L- probably a LC dinner (I think I have some Asian based one).

D- going to pick something up at the grocery.  Either a rotesserie chicken so that I can use leftovers in salads for lunches this week or some other type of protein product that I can moisten with a bit of ketchup or gravy (still having a struggle eating dense protein without the assistance of something moist).

This week I want to kick up my water consumption and reduce my snacking (which will only happen if I can more effectively get protein down during mealtime).

Enjoy your day everyone!

They have two kinds of bars.  Meal replacement and then the high protein cereal bars.  I can't eat a whole meal replacement bar, and they are really expensive and high in calories.  I prefer the smaller, cheaper, high protein cereal bars.  Walmart sells them for about $2.75 for 5 of them and I'm a peanut butter fanatic, so I'm hooked on the peanut butter.  They've got 10g protein and 140 calories and some fiber too.

Yep, I was too busy in my 20's to properly party, but I seem to have caught the bug a little in my 30's. Its exhausting though, and my personal ban of alcohol makes me a great designated driver!

Here's what I ate today:

B: 7 oz steak @300 calories, 32.5g protein
S1: Instone pudding @100 calories, 20g protein
L: 7 oz steak @300 calories, 32.5g protein
S2: Instone pudding @100 calories, 20g protein
D: Frogmore stew (low country boil) 1 svg @429 calories, 20g protein
S3: EAS protein drinks @ 220 calories, 34g protein

Totals: 1469 calories - 410 calories expended = 1039 calories total

I kind of like having steak in the morning, it's very sustaining.  I cook one steak and cut it in half so I can eat the other half for lunch.  Go meat!

I ramped up my exercise a bit today and was able to burn 410 calories according to my pedometer.

While digging in the pantry yesterday, I found about a zillion boxes of NSA Carnation Instant Breakfast so today when I went to the grocery, I bought some CarbCountdown Moo and am going to mix up a daily CIB protein drink.  With the CC, it comes out to a 160 cal, 8 carb, and I think 15 protein drink---nearly as good as a protein shakes like AchievOne or Atkins.

Plan
B:  Fibre One/Lactaid
S:  SB cookies/cheese stick
L:  Red Lobster leftovers from yesterday's lunch
S:  CIB drink
D:  pork chop/acorn squash/broccoli
S:  popcorn
