Gym is Open (Twirling Thursday) 8/7

I looked at the calendar and realized I have a bunch of pre-op appointments next Thursday for my upcoming sinus surgery.  Good thing I wrote them down, I totally forgot about them.  It certainly doesn't seem like August already.

I signed up for community credentials to attend Obama's acceptance speech at Invesco Field.  If I get chosen to attend, I see the date is the day after my sinus surgery.  Unless I am dead, I will be there if I get a credential.  Some historic things should not be missed no matter how crappy you might feel.

Anyway, it's Thursday!  Twirl off to the gym, or the pool, or twirl down the hallways at work and burn those calories right off our hawt bodies!

What did you do to move your body today?

Twirl????

Okay, I twirled away on the stationary bike's strengthen program for a full 45 mins this morning!

Good luck on you upcoming surgery and getting those credentials!

It was either "twirl" or "tiptoe" and I figured tiptoeing would not burn very many calories and would also give most of us calf cramps!

I'm going to a leadership seminar today and tomorrow so workout will have to be after I get home.  Has anyone seen the PX90 infomericals.  My son got it last year and he looks really great and Karl started it last week and has lost 5 pounds already.  I'm going to do the cardio dvd when I get home tonight.  Wish me luck!

Is that the dude who says you can get a toned and fit body with only a short workout?  There was an informercial with an exercise program that sounded promising, but it looked like it involved floor work and I cannot get on the floor.

I've never watched the whole thing, but it's definitely not for the faint at heart.  It's got 7 dvds of different workouts including yoga.  It was tough, but I hung with it.  I'm tight this morning but not too bad.

What kind of sinus surgery Kix? I had major sinus surgery about 10 years ago, ugh!

Walking the hallways at work is my exercise for the day. I'm pushing the water so bathroom trips are more frequent which means more hallway walking.

My septum has shifted to the point that my left nostril is basically pinched shut.    It's outpatient surgery, so I'm not nervous about it.  I'm hoping it will help restore my sense of smell, which has been wonky for years now.

I can thank my late dad for that, he had it and passed it down to all my siblings.  I thought I'd dodged a bullet because my other siblings had difficulties in their 20s.  Mine didn't happen until my late 40s.  At least the surgery has improved so I anticipate a minimal amount of suffering!

I like your plan for walking, just make sure you don't wait too long to twirl off to the bathroom, or it might get a bit embarrassing.

I had my septum fixed along with tonsils out, sinus scraped, and uvula trimmed. Nasty recovery, lost 40 pounds in one month and was out of work 8 weeks. Would never want anyone to go through that. I was in my late 30's.

I walk only after going to the bathroom, before coming back to the office. ;) The building has an elevator shaft in the middle and my floor has a hallway all around. It's a nice chance to get out of my beautiful 8th floor office with a view on a clear day all the way to downtown LA. ;) Drab and dreary walking the hallway but I feel good each time I come back.

I'm not sure that even sums up how I feel after reading about your ordeal!
