Gym is Open (Thoughtful Tuesday) 8/5
I'm back to my training schedule, although it's slightly modified from my last go-round. I do have one more adventure race, but it's only a 6 hour so I'm not going to concentrate on training for that too much. I do have a few 14ers planned this month so this morning was climbing time - I did 40 minutes on the treadmill, 4mph at a 15% climb, then ran for about 5 minutes (that's the first time I've run in a while!) Then I headed over to the stairmaster and climbed that for about 15 minutes. I was nice and sweaty by the time I was done!
The big thing I'm preparing for is a 100 mile bike ride on Labor Day - my fun mentor/trainer convinced me to do this trail in Moab that is suppose to be beautiful and fairly challenging to do in one day (it's called The White Rim Trail). So, I'm going to be biking A LOT this month. At least it isn't as hot as it has been - that would be miserable!
