Earthquake!

OK this was a good one. I was on the 8th floor of a 14 story building and it hit then just seemed to shake forever. 5.8 centered 10 miles from my work.

We evacuated the building and I could not get any phones to work, so stopped by my In-laws on the way home then hubbies work.

My mom and niece and her friend were at Chucky Cheese, part of the ceiling colapsed and they are now home.

Everyone is fine so far, just shaken ;)  Got home and cabinets were open, pictures off kilter but everything else ok.

I heard this news on the radio coming home from the gym.  Having lived in L.A. (and Oakland), my first thought was that our local newscaster was being a wuss and reporting on a minor shake, then I heard it was 5.8.  Yikes!

Glad to hear you are OK, and only shaken, not stirred.

Hey, glad you're okay, my Mom called me, she lives in Orange, they felt it pretty good there too! No damage tho', she said that a birdhouse fell off the tv and the pool water was really sloshing around!  She said my brother's house was okay too!

This is weird, last Tuesday here in Sheridan, Mt were I live, we had two tornados rip through town, something totally unheard of, and along with the hail the size of golf balls, we have a lot of damage here to houses and cars.  I have three windows broken, two screens ripped out and the shingles on my roof seem lifted from the wind..... Wild Weather!!
