Ok, has anyone else noticed that all this chewing leaves your teeth coated with gunk, which is extra unfortunate since you aren't supposed to drink right after you eat?  I am a gum addict now, although I worry about swallowing it by accident.  I think I'm going to have to start going in for extra cleanings or something.

As for food, dunno yet.  I did good with dense protein yesterday and it helped with the snacky monster.  I'm thinking I want to make some meatballs today - maybe with ground chicken.  So far I haven't eaten, but I had a glass of milk.  I will post my choices later.

I haven't chewed gum but for one time since surgery, just lost the desire I guess, but I buy it all the time for hubby. I don't drink after I eat but I do brush my teeth a lot more than I did before surgery because of that gunk feeling.

Pre B - SF NF Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte

B - 1 slice whole grain toast, 2 tbs. natural PB, 1 banana sliced on top

S - small SF NF Carmel Latte, an hour later 1 oz turkey jerky

L - chicken poppy seed salad

S - cottage cheese, Splenda peaches

D - taco salad

S - watermelon chunks

We were told not to chew gum following surgery because of the extra air.  I haven't done it yet.  I'm a pretty compliant patient (for the most part).

Last night, my dinner consisted of 5 ritz crackers and peanut butter with about 2 t of orange marmalade.  Oh, my pouch was not happy.  Just general discomfort until I went to sleep.  Not the best dinner but I just didn't feel like making anything.  I had a protein shake before bed so I guess I made up for it.

today -

B- Unjury protein shake chocloate  28 g protein
S- 1.5 oz virginia baked ham & .5 oz provolone cheese 21 g protein
L - caprese chicken South Beach Diet   32 g protein
D - Calculus tonight - will have to be a fast food item (probably a grilled chicken sand or salad) 25+ g protein

Wow, I'll be over 100 g protein for the day.  Hope it helps.  Me and my scale are on a trial separation until he learns to love me again!

I was warned about gum early out only, as a hazard if you swallow it.  It was actually a suggestion later on in the book, to keep your mouth from getting dry after eating when you shouldn't drink.  Every doc is different though.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Bazooka sucks!  Its soooo dry and hard.  I'm more of a sugar-free spearmint kind of girl.  That Five gum is what I've been chewing, it keeps its mintyness forever, until you get sick of it basically.

I'm doing ok, how are you?  I have the dates we will be in Rochester, but Ryan's dad is a bit of an ass and has us staying only 3 days.  We will be at a hotel in Canadegwa (lol sp too lazy to look it up) - The Inn on the Lake, for the wedding.  We arrive Fri Oct 10 in the evening, and leave on the following Mon.  The wedding is Sun and we have the rehearsal on Sat soooo even though we suggested staying long enough to go to Cooperstown so Ryan and his dad could BOND, and because I wanted to meet you, his dad pooped on the idea.  He bought our plane tickets and is paying for the hotel (not that wew asked, but not that we will argue either).  We will be in the hotel Sat night and Sun night and we are sharing a rental car with him.  I am not sure how this will work out, but I am guessing I won't be able to escape.  So how far are you from there?  And would you be willing to come to me?    I would escape and run away with you for a few hours, especially on Saturday.

Love ya!

Ok, and you wouldn't have to stop in Roch, I think just Canadaigua - the best times would be Sat afternoon or Sun evening I THINK.  Frankly, they've never really been nice to me so I'm not above skipping out for a while so Ryan can spend some "quality time alone" with them.  They are all very fake...  You know how SOME PEOPLE just rub you the wrong way... make you kind of itchy under the skin...
