Hi all, I hope you had a good weekend.  Mine was so-so.  The ear infection is clearing up finally, but it was pretty uncomfortable Friday and Saturday especially.  We saw a movie, I slept a lot with my head on a heating pad.  I ate a little too much on Sunday, grazing basically, and a lot of watermelon.

Today I have a food plan

B - 16oz mootopia, 2 scoops Click protein - 300cal, 39g protein

L - 2 cheese enchiladas made at home - about 400cal, 20g protein

D - side salad with light italian dressing from chick-fil-a, half of a regular sandwich - 400cal, 22g protein

S - other half of sandwich - 200cal, 15g protein

Calories - 1300
Protein - 95

I never said it was a GOOD food plan.

I always admire how much protein that you're able to squeeze in.  Mine's starting to get up there, but still on the weak side.  Sometimes I really wish that I was allowed to supplement (although I couldn't stand the protein shakes when I was on the LD - so I'm still not missing that stuff).

I find that I really enjoy the weekends because I am able to focus on what I need to do to maximize my health.  I always get in enough water, take all of my vitamins and the Actigall, and I generally eat pretty well.

Here is my food plan for today:

B- 1oz. string cheese (I thought I wanted to eat 2, but alas was full after 1 still - sometimes I have lofty ideas of how hungry I am)
L- going to have LC Swedish meatballs (again, I tell myself that I will eat the whole thing, but I can eat about 2/3-3/4)
D- not sure yet - maybe an Italian chicken finger, but I'm going to either Sam's club or the meat store this afternoon so maybe I will find something that I like better.

Have a great day!

I had a nice weekend - good R&R time, time with friends, a little retail therapy (two new sleeveless shirts for walking/hiking outdoors, lightweight shorts for walking/hiking outdoors, plus a pair of North Face cargo shorts - they are my favorite new clothing item), plus a great 2-hour conversation with an old, dear friend from high school about everything that's going on my life.  Sometimes old friends are such a comfort -

Food for the weekend was okay, a little snackier than usual, but I'm back to the regular plan today -

Breakfast:  1 c. 1% milk in my coffee, 1 packet Quaker Weight Control oatmeal

Snack #1:  1 c. lowfat cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. sugarfree preserves, 2 oz. blueberries, 2 oz. strawberries

Snack #2:  medium banana, 2 tbsp. peanut butter

[workout #1:  strength training, core work]

Lunch:  Lean Cuisine thai-style chicken, 1 c. cantaloupe

Snack #3:  6 oz. light yogurt, 1/4 c. Kashi granola

Snack #4:  1 slice whole-grain bread, 3 slices smoked turkey, 1 slice low-fat cheese, w/ wasabi/horseradish spread (new tasty find!)

Dinner:  5 oz. broiled salmon, salad, 2 tbsp. light salad dressing

Snack #4:  100 calorie Klondike fudge bar or a Mike's Light Hard Lemonade (98 calories, 6 net carbs. 4.7% alcohol)

Total calories:  2022
Carbs:  243.2
Fats:  66.2
Fiber:  27.5
Protein: 134.2

Good for you and finding yourself someone to vent with, that is always good for the soul!

I tried peaches and cottage cheese for lunch, but had no desire to eat.  I might try something for supper since I had nothing bu****er the entire weekend.  I am thinking my body is needing something of nutritional value - just wish what it needs is what I feel like eating!!!

Yeah, what's with the evil potato salad? I think I'm attracted to it more from habit than taste.

DH got some for himself in a huge tub and of course it sat right on the milk & drink shelf, right under my nose all weekend. Grrr. I did sneak a finger-full (about a tsp) on Saturday. Not as good as I used to make, and I spit it out in the sink. I need to find a more obsecure location, but we just gave our old over-flow fridge to my stepdaughter, so it is harder to bani**** from sight.

Put it in a container that you can't see into.  For example, re-used margarine containers.  And don't label them...lol.  Let your DH search for what he wants.
