Shoe tying

OK, I know that this is probably a silly question, but I woke up this morning wonder when I could expect to tie my shoes without contorting my body in some very strange position?  Any ideas when the rest of you crossed this hurdle?

I am quite flexible, I never had a problem, but I guess it did get easier after a month or two.  I never had issues getting up and down off the floor or sitting "Indian style" or any of that.  I think its probably a combination of yoga and good luck because I've always been surprisingly flexible.  It was the only part of physical fitness tests I ever passed, and usually I was the best in the group.  It is a pleasure to shave my legs in the bath though - one, I can fit in the bath, and two, I can put them up on the wall and just shave them easy peasy.  Its fun!

You'll get there soon I'm sure, and its really nice to remember and appreciate all those little things.  They are absolutely 100% just as important as the number on the scale, and sometimes when its not moving (like for me in the last 2 months) those little victories keep you mentally stable :)

I swear - we are twins separated at birth.  All through my life I continued to amaze my family with my agility and flexibility.  I attribute mine to being a dancer for 15 years.  Though I do have to admit, since the weight loss I am finding I am able to bend and move around much easier than before.

Yay!  Here's to being short and flexible!  I was in dance from 4y/o to about 12.  Once I hit puberty (10) and grew taller than everyone, sprouted boobs, hips, and more fat, I gave it up.

I'm 2 weeks out and can't tie my shoes or pick up anything from the floor. I'm hoping it will change soon - I need to go back to work next week.

Does this mean that post-op I have to give up my Birkenstocks, Sketchers and Crocs for shoes that tie? LOL I hope not!
