Good morning, Jen, and welcome to Thursday, which feels like Friday.  There are lots of folks in my office who are out today, so it'll be pretty quiet around here today.  Our office usually closes a little early on the day before a holiday, so I'm looking forward to a short but productive work day.  And trying to figure out if I can still squeeze in two visits to the gym since it closes early today (5pm)...

Anyway, here's what's on my plate today - Breakfast:  1 c. 1% milk in my coffee, 1 packet Quaker Weight Control oatmeal

Snack #1:  1 c. low-fat cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. SF preserves, 2 large, diced strawberries, 2 oz. blueberries Snack #2:  medium banana, 1 tbsp. peanut butter

[workout #1:  upper body strength training, core work]

Lunch:  WW SmartOnes rigatoni w/ chicken and broccoli

Snack #3:  7 oz. Fage 2% yogurt, 1/4 c. Bob's Red Mill Mueslix, 2 large, diced strawberries, 2 oz. blueberries

Snack #4:  1 slice whole-grain bread, 3 slices smoked turkey, 1 slice low-fat cheese, alfalfa sprouts

[workout #2:  60 minutes cardio???]

Snack #5:  post work-out apple

Dinner:  unknown - maybe garlic shrimp and salad

Well, it looks like my surgery weight is almost all back off again so I'm happy about that.  I had a feeling I was going to gain, but didn't think I'd hold on to it for a whole week!  My ankles were swollen last night too.  Must  have been a combination of my marathon drive to Tallahassee on Tuesday and probably not enought fluids to compensate for the drive and lack of movement. Today will be weird because we had new countertops installed yesterday and the sink is yet to be hooked up because it requires new pipes.  Yeah...it's a deeper sink!  So, we'll eat out for dinner tonight, but I'm always good when I eat out. B - SBD protein bar L - grilled chicken thigh (maybe two) S - 4 oz  yogurt nsa D - ?  shrimp quesadilla?

Glad to hear you lost the water.  That can be so frustrating.  I'm carrying a bit myself right now but I've just been craving salt, so it's hard to not eat salty food.  Thank God I don't have high blood pressure. S - 16 oz milk with SF Torani and splenda D - 2 shredded pork tacos from Qdoba (threw away the tortillas)       2 SF popsicles Have  a great weekend!

Lost the potassium pill between home and work - so instead of having an inch or two of bannana, I compensated and at about four inches.  Boy do I regret it.  I have felt like heck ever since.  If I would not have had a leg cramp last night, I probably would have forgone the whole thing, but since I did - I felt like I needed the potassium.  Note to self - don't lose the potassium pill.  At least it doesn't make you feel so bad!!! L - fresh tomatoe and mozerella cheese I am like Jenn - on a tomatoe kick.  I figure, it goes down nicely and only has 20 calories and it TASTE wonderful.  And the season will be over before I am ready for it and I won't tomatoes again until next year.  I don't do grocery store tomatoes.  Home grown is the way for me!

Have you tried adding magnesium pills also?  They are super cheap and you can cramp from low magnesium too.

I go for blood work tomorrow morning and I have my follow-up appt next Wednesday.  I will not be surprised if they will add a few more supplements.  Given that I am eating very little, my nutritional intake has to be way low.  I am sure that is why I feel like my body is revolting against me.   My newest pain is in the arch of my foot (of course on the same leg that I get the cramps in), but that leg is my compromised leg.  If an ankle is going to swell, it is that ankle.  It is the leg I had the blood clot in a few years ago.  It is the leg of the knee that gives me trouble - yada yada yada.  I can only hope that as time passes my body realizes I am not trying to kill it and levels out because I still have not been able to exercise and as lazy as I am, I want to exercise.  This belly and hips are driving me wild!!!
