3 weeks stall after 60 pound loss
I am really down I have not lost anything it goes back and forth 3 pounds. Did you do anything to get it started again. I lost 60 pounds the first 2 months and now nothing. I was 375 the day of surgery and now did I stop loosing, i know a stall is normal, but how do I start it again, I am walking and looking into a gym. Help I have so much more to loose and when is the honeymoon stage over? What are you all eating, i was told to eat 3 meals a day and 3 snacks and I can't I get to full. I do get 75 to 85 grams of protein in through shakes. Please help!
I didn't see on your blog when your surgery was, but I'm picking up that you are in your 3rd month. It's normal!!! I lost nothing for 5 weeks and was totally frustrated and confused, but I just kept keeping up with my liquids, protein and most importantly, my workout. I would definitely try to "eat" more of your protein. Each day or every week, try to add more solid food to your diet so that you are eating your protein rather than drinking it.
If you can, post a typical day's diet so we can see what you are eating too.
It gets better, just keep following the rules and your body will catch up from all the changes you are going through.
Keep us posted!
My advice is to just keep doing what you are doing!!! You are going to have stalls along your journey; your body is just super confused by the really fast weight loss and it's taking a metabolic time out. As long as you are getting in enough protein, which it sounds like you are, staying hydrated and otherwise following your surgeon's dietary recommendations, the stall will pass.
When I was early out, I'd lose for 3-4 weeks, then stall for 1-2 weeks. As I got further out, that reversed - I'd lost for 1-2 weeks, then stall for 3-4 weeks. It was just how my body worked. But on a month-over-month basis, I lost pretty consistently even though the day-to-day and sometimes week-to-week was frustrating.
If you're getting really frustrated, I'd suggest putting the scale away for a few weeks and just focus on eating right, drinking plenty of fluids, and moving more...
