6 Month Check Up
Saw my surgeon on Friday. I'm officially down 123 lbs., I now weigh 317 - which is about what I weighed when I graduated from college in 1987!
I don't know where the times goes!
All my labs came back good. My NUT says aim for another 20 per month for the next 3 months, then about 15 a month for the 3 months after that. Eegads! That would be 228 lbs in the first year - then she said it could take me the entire next year to lose the 40 lbs or so. I'll give it my best shot - but I'm not going to freak (too much!) if it doesn't happen. I would love to see 212 as I think it's close enough to get my knees replaced and be out of pain! Of course due to our insurance, it would be very beneficial to have knee surgery by the end of the year!
Keep up the good work, wonderful ladies. You keep my thinking and laughing!

Maintenance going strong!
That's fantastic! Over 120 pounds in 6 months. Keep up the great work and see where it takes you. It must feel great to be back to a weight from 1987. Your story is truly an inspiration to me as I am currently stuck in my first stall. It's good to know that such fabulous things happen in such a short time.
