Monday weigh-in
It goes down the same way you eat an elephant - one bite at a time
And, yeah, one day you may long for the times when you struggled to eat a few teaspoons of food, but you'll have gained so many other things that even that will be okay -
Congrats on the 5 pound loss this week - you're already half-way to the Century Club (100 pounds lost) and you're less than 2 months post-op! Keep up the great work -

Grr.
I have, after this morning, officially put my scale away. I will not look at it again until next Monday.
I was 279 this morning! 279! I hadn't used the bathroom, so lets say 278. 278!
Grrrrrrrr.
I will NOT see 280 again. No no no no no.
I know this is fluid - I was 273 before I changed birth control, and then a week later I was 276, and now 278 this week. I mus****ch the salt and I must drink more water and I must exercise to get all of this fluid out of my body!
And then I must get rid of this bleepity blank stall I am in.
Grrr.
I know its most likely temporary fluid and that I will adjust to the higher hormones, and that its worth it to sort of have a libido back, but GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
If I don't adjust within three months, I am changing again because my ankles are swollen for the first time since surgery!!!
Ok last one. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Grr.
Let I am joining in this week.......I am down 79lbs since surgery and still think it should me more based on my starting weight. But I know everyone is different lol.
Last week 388
this week 382
so 6lbs guess thats not too bad........I would still like to lose another 20 before my 3months check up in a few weeks LOL, guess I should aim so high huh.
Everyone have a great Monday!
79 pounds is fantastic!!! Everyone is different - you'll make yourself crazy if you start comparing your loss rate to others... For the first 6 months, I focused on how I was doing on a 4-week basis, meaning how much did my weight change every 4 weeks. I started doing that when the day-to-day weight fluctuations were making me crazy; I just didn't see how I could be eating so little and not lose something every day. But that's just how our bodies work. Thinking about it in 4-week increments was much more doable for me - kept me from second guessing myself all the time.
