Gym is Open (Mopey Monday 6/30)
Back to the formal exercise this week. I've incorporated it into my list of things to do (which is quite full) so I have no excuses. I want to get in 60 minutes of fat-burning walking, so what I have decided is to do four 15-minute sessions. I have a rec center membership and a Ballys card, and my errands will take me past two rec centers and two Ballys, so I can stop at each of them on my day's journey. I also want to resume my strength training, I feel so out of sorts lately.
What did you do to move your body today?

I MUST workout today. I am retaining fluid like mad!! I am up SIX lbs since I started different birth control, and I know it has to be water weight because I haven't eaten enough food to gain six lbs! I've also been clogged in the plumbing department and eating too much salt (too much cheese probably responsible for both!)
I MUST MUST MUST workout today. And drink lots of water. And hide the scale or I will have a nervous breakdown.
Great plan, Kix! I enjoy breaking things up, plus I think my body responds very well to that type of routine. Plus, I think it helps keep our metabolism stoked and burning nicely when we move more throughout the day.
I slacked off a little last week, both in terms of exercise and food choices, and it showed up on the scale these past few days. Thankfully, the knoshies seems to have gone away, so I'm hoping things will get back to normal for me.
Today's a 2-a-day for me at the gym: upper body strength training and core work at lunch, then 60 minutes of cardio after work. I had a crappy cardio workout Friday -- energy levels were just off and I just didn't feel quite right -- so I'm hoping things are back to normal today.

Good for you! Sounds like a good plan - I remember reading about doing short workouts throughout your day and how it helps rev your metabolism, so this might be a great plan for you.
I had spinning class with my American Gladiator teacher - OMG, she knows how to get me working! Adding her on my schedule will definitely help me prepare for my race.
I'm finally feeling good and keeping up with my 6 days a week workouts - thank goodness, the last couple of months were tough. But I got through them and I am ready to hit those races!
