You will torment yourself if you make comparisons to other people.  I'm 7 months and have lost 96 pounds.  But...43% of my excess weight and I've gone from a 30/32 stretch pant to now I'm in a size 20.  Tops I'm down to an 18/20 and can wear some size 16 shirts.   So, don't torture yourself.  Just follow the rules your surgeon laid out for you, make sure you are taking your vitamins, getting your fluids and eating enough protein each day and start exercising now if you aren't already exercising.  My body has changed so much and if you saw the me you would never know I weigh 277 pounds.   Exercise has been the best thing that came out of this surgery for me.

Everyone seems to have a big jump in the beginning.  Your beginning happened to be pre-op instead of post-op.  You are doing wonderful.  I am very happy for you.  Loris

You'll make yourself nuts if you compare your loss rate to other folks' loss rates.  We all have very different bodies, habits, and metabolisms, so we just lose at different rates.  Just know that your rate of loss is right for your body, and that if you follow your surgeon's guidelines in terms of food changes, fluid intake, and exercise, you will lose weight!  And a lot of it!!!   By the way, congrats on the 33 pound pre-op loss - way to go.  And 26 pounds in 5 weeks nothing to sneeze at either.  Keep up the great work - we're proud of you!!!   Kellie
