On my way!

John and I are soon on our way to LA.  We felt it was better to spend the night in the city so we could sleep in before going to the hospital at 6:15.  Surgery is at 8am.  I've been told that I will go home on Sunday, then back for several rechecks.  I will be very glad to have the extra skin off my tummy and butt. I don't know about the stairs, so I might be MIA for a few days.  I can see about posting from the Mac that is downstairs. Jan - best wishes to you on Tuesday with your hysterectomy.  It is nice not to expect a period.  I could feel myself "wanting to start" the other day, but I'm finally past that today.  Had my 4 wk post ok check up and was told that all looked good. 

Good luck and welcome back by the time you get this.  I have had a lower and upper body lift.  PM if you need anything.  The plastic surgery board is very helpful and very active.  Stay on top of your pain meds and rest, rest, rest.  Loris

Jennie, I'm sorry I didn't see this before you left home.  It's around 8:30 AM CA time, so hopefully you're on the table now getting everything put back where it belongs!  I'm really happy for you.

Here's hoping everything goes smoothly and that you are up, around, and home before your body has a chance to figure out what happened to it!  Be sure to let us know how you're doing just as soon as you are able.

Between your hysterectomy and your PS, you should rack up a pretty decent weight loss in the next few weeks!  I'm very happy for you that you were able to get all this done, and through Kaiser, too.  Kaiser can sometimes take forever when it comes to stuff like this.
