the booby squisher experience
Julie,
Congrats on yur weightloss - it sounds like you have made amazing strides!!
I too had a mammogram this week (Weds actually). My mom died of breast cancer almost 6 yrs ago & my paternal grandmother had it many, many yrs ago too so I have been doing this for the last 5 1/2 yrs religiously & I agree with you - it didn't hurt this time at all!! The tech & I were joking about the fact that she needed an extra hand to position "things" correclty & I commented that this was after losing 144lbs... she laughed & said it wasn't fair (she was a tiny girl). Anyway she was great!!
I did want to offer some words of encouragement because right after my mom died I had my first one done & I was told because it was a baseline I might get called back for another appt... ok, no biggie!! I get the call to come back in - it was expected but what wasn't expected was the phone call about 3 days later from my pcp at 7am at home!!! She was on her way out the door that morning for a family vacation & wanted to call me before she left... ok the night before in the mail I got the letter from the Image Care saying they found something & needed me to come back which the woman on the phone never mentioned... oh, slight panic now!! My dr said she had to call knowing what I went thorough with my mom a few months before (she was also my mom's dr) and she wanted to put my mind at ease because they all felt it was a cyst & that they were going to do an ultrasound the next day. She told me not to worry - they'd give me the results the same day & that she had instructed the office to call her with them too! (She is super cool!!)
Anyway, long story short it turned out to be nothing more than a cyst & after a few more follow-ups it was gone!! So moral of my long story is don't worry about it - our bodies have goen through so much because of the wls that chances are it's nothing!! Sounds like you've found a very good place to go & thank god they are thorough... this isn't something to mess around with!!! The 30th is only a week away so try to enjoy your long holiday weekend & don't even give it a second thought!!!
Good luck & please let us know what they find!!
Cece
I was cracking up reading your post....I knwo EXACTLY what you mean about the tube socks and a crane needed! I can personally relate to that!! The smile disappeared from my face though when I read about your reading. I will pray that its just a blip on the screen and nothing serious. Stay strong & optimistic!! HUGS Jeanine
