Alright, it's not even 8:30 a.m. yet and I've already made a high-carb/high-fat food choice for breakfast.  Someone brought Panera bagels in for my office and I just could not resist.  Aunt Flo arrived and she always brings the carb monster with her.  While I wouldn't have gone out of my way to stop and buy something carby, I just didn't have the wherewithal to say "no" this morning.  Hopefully this isn't the start of a really bad food day....  so far, so bad - not great choices at lunch, plus had some trifle that was a b-day treat for a co-workers.  it's only 3:41 p.m. and I've already eaten as many calories as I normally eat in an entire day.  Sigh.  And, by the way, the new jeans are feeling pretty snug after lunch - already looking forward to getting home and putting on my sweats... On a positive note, I'm wearing a new pair of jeans (size 18 Gloria Vanderbilts, thank you very much) and a new shirt that I got from Penneys.  I had two $10 coupons, so I got the jeans and the shirt for about $20.  Jeans are black and shirt has a black background with a circular geometric pattern all over it.  I look pretty good as long as I'm standing up and sucking in the excess skin.  Otherwise, I've got serious muffin-top going on because of the excess skin.  So my plan is to spend as much of the day as I can standing up with my gut sucked in Anyway, here's the food plan - wish me luck sticking to it today and with making good choices at the lunch (over which I have no control about what's being served).  Sigh, some days are just harder than others...

Breakfast:  1 cup 1% milk in my coffee, 1 everything bagel from Panera, ~2 oz. plain cream cheese

Snack #1:  1 cup low-fat cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. sugar-free preserves, 1/2 c. sliced strawberries

Lunch:  spring mix salad w/ grapes and roasted walnuts, ~3 tbsp. raspberry vinaigrette, 1 tbsp. blue cheese, 2 small pieces bruschetta, ~3 oz. lemon chicken, 2 cheese ravioli in tomato vodka cream sauce, 4 bite-size pastries

Unplanned snack:  ~3/4 c. "fruit thang" dessert (trifle made w/ cut-up pound cake, Free Coolwhip, SF-FF vanilla pudding, canned peaches, canned pears, Dole Tropical Fruit Salad, fresh sliced strawberries) Snack #2:  8 oz. Dannon Light'n'Fit Vanilla Yogurt, 1/2 c. sliced strawberries, 1/4 c. Bob's Red Mill Mueslix

Snack #3:  1 slice whole-grain bread, 3 slices turkey breast, 1 slice low-fat cheese, alfalfa sprouts

[workout #1:  either 60 minutes of cardio or full body strength training - will depend on my mood and how much time I have]

Snack #4:  post-workout banana

Dinner:  unknown
Snack #5:  2 sugar-free fudgesicles

Sucking in your gut all day is a good ab workout :) I know that its normal, but it scares me that a whole bagel can fit in your pouch now.  I don't want Thundercles to grow!! Bagels are so dense I have a tummy ache just thinking about it.  And they are so yummy - there is an Einstein's bagels in the building I walk through every morning.  I haven't been tempted by it except coffee so far, but I did have a nibble of husband's breakfast sandwich a few times.   The green chile bagel is sinful.  WTG on the new jeans, and good luck with the carb monster!

My pouch is fickle.  Sometimes I can eat a whole bagel w/ cream cheese.  Sometimes I'm full after eating half or so.  Last night, I ate 6 oz. of shrimp w/ ****tail sauce and I was almost uncomfortably full.  I've eaten that much shrimp with a big salad many times and not felt uncomfortable, although perhaps the texture of the salad after being chewed up causes my pouch to empty faster than when I've only eaten the shrimp.   I can definitely eat a lot more now than I could at 12 months out, and I'm pretty careful not to push the limits because I don't want to stretch my pouch or my stoma.

Green chile bagel?  OMG, I think I need to try that... but not today

Kellie congrats on the size 18!   I cooked some boneless lean pork in BBQ in the crock pot last night and I dreamt about a BBQ all night.  It looked really great this morning. B - SB meal replacement bar 19 g protein 210 cal      (this was really too much and I'm still feeling stuffed from it - don't know why I finished it)

L - 3 oz albacore tuna with lettuce & tomato

S - Cocoa Roast Almonds - saw this on RNY board the other day.  They are fantastic!  Taste almost like chocolate covered almonds without the creaminess   D- crock pot lean pork & coleslaw I should be around 75-80 G protein for day and about 900 calories

Busy, busy Saturday but nothing planned for Sunday. It's going to be very hot here, 103 predicted for today, hotter tomorrow and then cooling off starting Sunday. Tomorrow we're volunteering at our co-op meat locker, hubby hates doing it so we'll see if he backs out or not. In the afternoon we're BBQing with the family (delayed Mother's Day) and swimming I'm sure. Then it's off to the car races tomorrow night. We'll need Sunday to rest! Pre B SF NF Cinnamon Dolce Latte B - easy one - ham, cheese, triscuits S - root beer float, SF RB syrup and NF milk S - Greek yogurt w/blackberries and Kay's Natural cereal L - Girls at work want McD's, so I'll get a chicken snack wrap and eat less than half of the tortilla part S - edemame D - chicken, veggies S - mango slices

It's gonna be a busy weekend, but at least I'm not traveling anywhere. We've got a garage sale on Saturday, a hike that afternoon and then Sunday is killer workout day - mountain biking 10 miles then doing a trail run for 4 miles. I've got to get ready for my next race! As for today... well, I'm happy because my new clothes are starting to fit again. I still have 4 more pounds to go but that will come. However, I'm starving today and already want to eat everything in site. We'll see how the rest of today goes. For now, this is the plan for the rest of the day: breakfast: PB pudding snack: large banana, fat-free yogurt snack: yogurt raisins, 1/4 c. cashews lunch: WW Homestyle chicken with green beans snack: string cheese, small apple snack: atkins protein bar dinner: Teriyaki chicken at Tokyo Joes snack: atkins protein bar calories: 2100 fat: 77 carbs: 240 fiber: 33 protein: 132 Water: at least 104 ounces weight: 174 Let's hope I can stay the course the rest of today
