I think my rear end is deflating

This morning on the seated row machine, I realized that my rear end was hurting.  I adjusted myself to be more comfortable and then finished my set.  Then moved over to the lat pulldown and same thing. I think I'm suffering from the "deflating butt" syndrome that I've heard about.  It's getting pretty noticeable.  Any suggestions on how to dealy with "deflating butt" syndrome and my comfort?

Sit on things that are soft.  Avoid hard chairs.  Be prepared to shift from side-to-side when you're seated for any extended period of time, like at a movie.  I've also learned how to sit on my side with my legs angled out - never even looked comfortable to me before, but now that my a$$ is bonier, I understand the position!  Only works at home in my recliner or on the couch.   Sore booty = small price to pay for new-found health!!!  Hope your booty doesn't deflate too much more :-) Kellie

I have a donut pillow but its also kind of uncomfortable so I alternate.  That and I tuck my feet up under me in chairs a lot, and lean from one side to the other.  Some of the gym machines hurt me too - mainly the leg press and the recumbent bike, but a few of the others.  I have not yet mastered standing up and working but I would if I could.

I'm so happy you butt is hurting!!!  No seriously I am, because mine does too!!!  I thought it was just me lol I'm glad to know it's happening to others and I'm not just being a hypocondriac.  When I say ouch when I stand up from sitting or move in my chair and say ouch everyone is like how can sitting hurt your butt???  They don't understand that I'm losing my paddin back there.  I can actually feel my butt bone**** the chair now.  NOT FUN!!!  But hey it's a good frequent reminder that we're LOSING!!!

I bought a "Tush Cush" and it goes with me on any long car travels, airplane flights and times when I know I'll be sitting awhile. It's a nice blue square pillow with a cutout for the tailbone. I got it on amazon.com

Deflating butt syndrome?         LOL I never heard of such a thing but I am so glad I'm not crazy.  I'm thinking to myself, how in the world can a 315 lb person "feel" the bones in the butt when sitting.  I thought I was crazy!
