Gym is Open (Wicked Wednesday 5/14)
Hi, Kix. I've got a killer case of PMS going on - I want to eat everything I can find and I'm feeling downright evil. Exercise is supposed to help these alleviate these symptoms - I sure hope it works.
In the interest of my health, and the health of those around me, I'm doing a 2-a-day; upper body strength training and core work at lunch, then 60 minutes of cardio after work. Hopefully that'll release some feel-good chemicals from my brain so I can stop fuming for no good reason. Some days I hate hormones

I never had PMS when I was younger, I wonder if it's because I was on birth control pills for about 20 years? Now that I'm creeping toward menopause, I get PMS like crazy. For one day, I feel suicidal, then the next day, I feel homicidal, then I get a sharp pain in my left ovary, then Aunt Flo fires up. Go figure! Did the exercise help, or did it just pi## you off even more?!

My PMS has gotten worse as I've gotten older. It's a blessing and a curse. A curse because, well, nasty PMS is just nasty PMS. It's a blessing because I'm more self-aware now than I was in my 20's and early 30's, so I recognize what's going on and can (attempt) to make a conscious choice to modulate my behavior. Sometimes that means locking myself in my office for the day and limited with interaction with other people, but that's okay by me.
I did feel better after I exercised - I think it has something to do with the chemicals that our brain releases when we exercise. Must counter some of the nasty mood-altering effects of the rampant hormones! Thank goodness, because I was feeling pretty evil (and I liked it...that's when I know trouble could be brewing!!!!).

Good Morning Kix!
The workout yesterday seemed to help with my cramping, so today I was back in the swing of things and made up sometime on the weight machines.
15 mins elliptical
45 mins weight training

Yeah Wicked Wednesday. I feel like the wicked witch of the south today after my event yesterday. I'm tired. I told myself last night I wasn't going to the gym and them reminded myself "don't let your body tell your mind what to do!"
I was excited about what happened at church last night and kept waking up throughout the night. When the alarm went off, I hit snooze and then told myself again "don't let your body tell your mind what to do!" and I got my butt up and went to the gym
Did 20 minutes on the treadmill and then upper body workout today. It was pretty good except for the smart alec Y-rep saying I looked a little lazy this morning. I told her to shut up! Negative feedback does NOT work for me. I wasn't doing anything outside of what I normally do.
Ah...I'm ready to take a nap.
Next time smart aleck Y-rep opens his/her mouth, say "At least I'm here doing something and not at home sleeping." That might shut 'em up -
Hmph. Didn't their mother teach them "if you don't have something nice to say, stuff a sock in it???" Sheese -
Kudos on getting yourself to the gym this morning - 'atta girl and keep up the great work!

Good for you I'm gonna have to try that. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Don't let your body tell your mind what to do. Let's see if it sticks!
