2 1/2 year follow-up appointment
I had my 2 1/2 year follow-up appointment with my surgeon this morning. I weighed in at 194.9 on their scale, which is down 18 pounds from my last appointment in May, 2007. My bloodword is all great, although my vitamin D is a little low, so I need to supplement that a little more to bring it up. Or spend more time in the sun. Or both.
My surgeon was amazed at how well I've done and how I look. We talked about my routine - food journaling, daily weighing, lots of exercise - and how well that works for me. He basically said I was the poster child for WLS, which made me feel great. I thanked him for what his program had done for me, for giving me back my life, for setting me free to be whatever I want to be...
He asked if I would talk to the person that coordinates their monthly support group meeting, which I did. She's going to contact me about perhaps speaking at one of their upcoming meetings about my WLS experience. All in all, a fantastic appointment. I just need to keep doing what I'm doing and enjoy my life.
I'd like to give a shout out to all my OH peeps - your support is invaluable and I thank you from the bottom of my very healthy little

WTG, I think you'd be an excellent speaker for WLS. Congrats on good blood work also!
YAY! Kelli
I think you would be an awesome speaker, I know you are someone we all look to for support on OH. Careful though you might like it and get all comfy with them and well I’m kind of jealous lol Congrats on your #s and your blood work and if going outside is the prescription I guess it could be a lot worse….
