So how was Mother's Day? Did you do ok on food? There were very few calorie posts over the weekend, so I hope people report back in today! I did fine since my mother is many miles away there was no feast to partake in or anything. I sent her a large flower arrangement and $100 to home depot (she's redoing some stuff in the house). I always send my 2 aunts things for mothers day also - this year it was smaller arrangements that matched mom's and smaller gift cards. No jealousy that way
I don't like to send flowers generally, or get them, they just die, but the ladies in my family specifically ask for flowers so ok. I miss hanging out with mom, and I think she's bringing my brother to visit in a few weeks.
Well, on to business. Since starting zoloft I am having a hard time eating so its hard to make a plan. I did bad on Sunday - about 500 calories and 40g protein at the end of the day so I had to down some mootopia to get to 60g. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. I know I should eat, but its like early out from surgery, I just can't. While I appreciate not feeling mental about food, I'm hoping this goes away as I get used to the medication or I will have to try something else I think.
Here is my plan for Monday -
B - venti whole milk latte
L - side salad with light italian dressing from chick fil a
D - 3oz grilled salmon, edamame
S - 16oz soy milk with fiber
Calories - 1115
Fat - 50g
Carbs - 96g
Fiber - 21g
Protein - 74g

I took my sister to see "Iron Man" again, this time on a BIG BIG screen, and we enjoyed it a lot. We went shopping for house plants, and I managed not to trip this time. I cooked a traditional Danish meal that our mom used to cook, and I have to remind myself that pork no longer likes me. I am suffering right now!
I ate too much while laid up with my knee, so I look forward to getting back on track now that my knee has recovered. I might just do pouch test day 1 today (liquids) just because I'm tired of food.

Here's what I ended up eating throughout the day: 4 protein bars @ 240 calories, 80g protein. I tried eating some chicken and leftover bread for dinner, but the bread wedged in my stoma and after much effort, I horked up the bread and the chicken. Ugh. It was so painful, but I did feel much better once I dislodged the stuck food. I ate 1 can Instone protein pudding @100 calories, 20g protein to settle my stomach. Totals: 1060 calories, 100g protein.

I HAD A GREAT MOTHERS DAY.. NO COOKING AT ALL... DH HAD LEFTOVERS LOL... ASK YOUR MOMA CAN SHE SHARE HER HOME DEPOT CARD WITH ME LOL... I LOVE THEM!! I GUESS MY MEAL WILL CONSIST OF CABBAGE FOR SURE LOL.... GOTTA START COOKING IT SOMEHOW..LOL I THINK AND MAYBE SOME CHICKEN BREAST BREADED LIGHTLY WITH ITALIAN BREAD CRUMBS AND PARMASAN CHEESE IN THE OVEN FOR DINNER... FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH I USUALLY EAT BORING TUNA SOMEHOW OR OATMEAL AND EVEN EAT LEFTOVERS FROM WHAT I COOKED THE NIGHT BEFORE FOR BREAKFAST... AINT TO OUT OF THE ORDINARY FOR ME TO EAT ANYTHING THATS THERE LOL... DOESNT TAKE MUCH TO MAKE ME HAPPY LOL.... THATS WHY I NEVER POST TO THIS... IM TO BORING LOL.... HUGS MARGE

I remember taking Zoloft and my appetite went crazy - thank goodness you don't have to worry about that. Although not being able to eat can be just as bad - is the med at least working on the depression?
I took a slight break this weekend but didn't do too bad - it was more logistics than anything else. I was stuck in the middle of nowhere for 11 hours Saturday (I volunteered at an adventure race) and had brought mostly stuff that didn't need to be heated up, so it was lots of cheese and crackers, protein bars, etc. I was dieing for warm, substantial food by the end of the day so i went to Wendys and got a Jr. burger - just the perfect size and nice and warm
I need to lose these last 5 pounds so I'm hitting it hard this week - here's my plan for today:
pre-workout snack: PB pudding
snack: atkins protein bar
snack: string cheese, apple
lunch: WW homestyle chicken with green beans
snack: fat free yogurt, banana
snack: atkins protein bar
dinner: 3 ounce steak, 1/2 c. green beans
snack: Skinny Cow cone
calories: 1519
fat: 50
carbs: 179
fiber: 32
protein: 105
water: over 100 ounces

I'm not completely sure if its helping (more for anxiety than depression at this point). I feel calmer but I feel kind of wonky too, and its interfering with eating and sleeping, my two favorite activities!
I know it takes some time (up to a few months) to reach full strength, and a few weeks to even reach half strength so I'm trying not to think too hard about whether I feel better or not at this point. Next time I have a really stressful event I guess we'll see.

I didn't even track my protein this weekend and when that happens, it's usually not a good thing.
I did a protein shake yesterday just to make sure.
Today...
Breakfast - SB diet high protein bar, 1 small bannanna
Lunch - Blackened grouper 3 oz, asparagus 4-5 spears
Snack - Blueberry applesauce sweetened with splenda
Dinner - leftover pork carnitas with Carb balance high fiber tortillas
Snack - SF pudding, caramel
We had a really good weekend, except for the fact I decided to slice off my finger on Saturday and ended up in the ER getting stitched and glued up! Darn thing just wouldn't stop bleeding. I ended up throwing away the watermelon I was cutting up since it was covered in blood. YUCK!
Mother-in-law is on a trip with the relatives to Yosemite, so we put our BBQ plans on hold until next weekend. We did take my Mom out to lunch, then she went to dinner at my brothers In-Laws. Rest of the day was quiet.
