So ... went for my 6 month check up today and everything is great.  All my labs look wonderful, my bp was 128/68 (pre surgery was like 154/94 on meds) and A1C was 5.5 (11 pre surgery)  All my levels look good and I've lost 85 pounds (even with my appointment @ 4:15 today!)  So far, I've lost 35% of my excess weight and the doc is pleased with my progress and was pleased to hear that I worked out 5 days a week. So I'm blessed and very happy at my results.

To your health!  That was the best news for me too - Low AI1C.  Keep up the good work!

The other best thing about surgery is no more meds but that happened early on!  I'm just excited beyond belief and can't wait to see what else the future holds for me. I had on a size 18 skirt on mother's day (It was too tight around the waist but I wanted something new to wear) and then changed into a pair of size 20 shorts.  I'm now smaller than my niece who said she was saving clothes for me.
