The gym is open!  My sister is working at home because the air conditioning dude is coming to give the system its annual exam, so I have a feeling I'll be away from home most of the day (she couldn't wait until Monday?  I'm taking my monthly jaunt to the casino on Monday). What fun thing (or not fun thing, but good for you) did you do to move your body today? Kix

Air conditioning in Colorado?  I would have never thought that. Today was upper body for 45 mintues and 15 minutes on elliptical.  I am sore!

Colorado is an odd state, being part mountains and part plains.  We get some pretty warm winds here, and the temperature is known to get into the 100s on occasion.  Our house is a bit unusual in that my sister likes things at meat locker temperatures.  I have five blankets on my bed and warm slipper sox -- when I was on supplemental oxygen, the concentrator gave off enough heat that it was like having a space heater. Now that it's gone (yay!), I nearly freeze to death in this house at night when she has the air turned down to 63 degrees.  In the winter, the heat is set at 65 at night, so you might as well just throw me outside in the snow.  I'm often cold post-WLS! I just went for a short run today - trying to go light since I have a 5 mile running race tomorrow. So, I did 3 miles and then spent lots of time stretching. I think I'm ready for tomorrow - I ran the course last weekend and felt pretty good. It has some HUGE hills but some fun downhills where I will hopefully be able to make up time from my slow climbs   My goal is under an hour - I hope I can do it! have a fun day!

Is the Bolder Boulder tomorrow?  Or is that the 10k you plan to run in, in which case I'm not sure what race you're running, but do well!  Make us proud! I'm still deciding whether I can walk two miles with the dog so we can participate in Maxfund's Mutt Strut.  We thought about doing the Furry Scurry, but the $50 reg fee was a bit steep even if it does go to the Dumb Friends League.  I'm sorry I missed the Cherry Creek Sneak, but there's always next year! No gym for me, I am pooped.  It was a long day and then I drank a bit much.  On top of it, I slept poorly and not nearly long enough.  Hubby did something to his back and moaned and groaned all night until I finally got out the liquid codeine from surgery and dosed him up good so we could both sleep.  I haven't really talked to him today but I hope he's feeling better!

Dunny, I shouldn't laugh, but I can't help it.  Why on earth do I think it's funny that you doped up your husband so you could both get a good night's sleep?  I'm obviously quite insane!    My sister has been moaning about her sciatica for two days now, but when I ask her if she has done her stretching exercises, it's always NO.  Then suffer! I did my 30 minute workout at Curnves, and improved my numbers on six of the machines.  Gotta keep going!
